Hiya,
We could turn the question around a bit & explore the ways to run, operate & manage the EB/PP A/C to increase the likelyhood of ensuring you get FB left for you ???

On some items that I sell I get a lot of feedback but for other items..like some baby items I sell I hardly ever get feedback and I'm assuming thats because parents are too busy with their new born babies to leave feedback on ebay? I dont know thats what I'm assuming, I'm going to try using some automated system requesting buyers to leave me feedback. o_o
years ago people left feedback, now these days you have to beg for feedback. A simple follow up could lead to trouble for example:
Hello just following up with your order, were you happy with your purchase etc....
Then they respond well actually etc... then they hold it over you to get something out of the deal you name it the game has changed. sp simply adding a note in the package is the best way that I have found to work, along my business card and contact number if there really is a problem.
Some buyers will be happy to leave it if you have left it for them and ask the nicely.
Other, typical ahole buyer who say, glad you asked, no I am not happy with this and would like to return it or I will keep it for some kind of discount.
that is why I stopped following up with buyers, my sales are fine and I know how to get my feedback where it needs to be after a certain number it is not important, its product and price.

I found that if i send the item and they receive the next day, the ratio goes up to about 1 in 2
Good customer service is crucial. Sending items out fast, replying to queries quickly and politely, well packaged items. A good all round service basically.
Since a lot of my sales are feedback based. I tend to put in the description that I leave feedback once feedback is received. usually around 85% of the time I get feedback
The Following User Says Thank You to BigCJ For This Useful Post:
feedback is hit or miss, ship fast, pack good, leave a little note inside maybe, and thats all you can do. Def wouldn't go poking around asking for it... as stated just another reason for them to complain. Sometimes i'll get feedback a month later, some people just don't log into ebay everyday like we do :-P im about 75% and sometimes it takes a while to get it all.

Glad to see someone here is using my trick. But keep looking, there is a better one out there
I have noticed that when I ship out the same day or they get the package within two or three days, the usually leave good feedback if everything is good other than that I am lucky to even get 4 or 5/10 feedback
When an account is new I do manage and monitor the Feedback but once it's established I don't pay that much attention. Once the account is established, it's really not that important what percent of buyers leave feedback but what is important is providing impeccable service so that the feedback you DO get is all positive.
Try selling on Amazon; you're lucky if you get 10% of buyers to leave you feedback.
Basically just provide good service, don't sell questionable items, ship ASAP and the feedback takes care of itself.
