all those little details that pop up depending on what you sell. I've been filling them out to what best matches but sometimes I forget and list with the basics.
I've often wondered if it really helps your listing be found, as when i search ebay for something like that i mostly use only a few if I even do use them at all.

I hate that crap. I don't think it is useful, maybe in some categories it is - but not all.
When I buy I try to avoid using those selection/classifier things any way and stick to using keywords, otherwise who know what you may miss out on!
If you sell in vehicle parts/accessories they now force you to list the compatible vehicle model and year - it is ridiculous. If I listed every single viable model I would have a list that was hundreds, if not more, of vehicles long.
Luckily there is a slight work around meaning you can avoid it...

Any additional info you can supply in those categories will only give you better exposure. Some people search using those parameters. If you don't fill them in, your item will be eliminated from their search, even though the size/color etc matches.
