Is being a constant seller, then stopping, then appearing again = Red Flag?

Hello, sorry for the long thread name.

I was wondering (Still figuring out my stealth process), if you have a fully functional EB stealth account, with a bunch of positive feedback, no problems at all, 100% feedback, running for more than 2 years with no issues for example, and then stop using it for whatever reason (you move for months to another city, found another job, etc, etc), and after that, you come back home and use that EB account to get back into business, Will this cause a red flag or some kind? or gets you selling limits? or a verification???

ive pulled up an old account recently that i used to sell on 6 years ago, forgot about it until i got the we are going to delete your dormant account email

ive started selling on it and its fine

now has selling limits though whereas it didnt previously

i got a stealth ebay uk account that i sold on up to xsmas last year then started again in june this year and all ok..but im not listing heavy just a few low cost items prob about £200 since june...so all low key but fingers crossed ok so far..

As a general policy, I would suggest that if you stop for long period of time (3 months+) safer to restart as if you are a new account.

I like to get down to business for about 5 to 6 months straight then always take a break for 3-4 months. When i do begin on my selling spree, I've always began strong. Even after a nice break, I've always started off with at least 100+ items each weekend.

Thats my experience with it, but do not recommend anyone stealth-wise trying it. So far no issues with me, but it will not work or be so LUCKY with everyone.

I just went back to a 2 year old account that has been dormant for a year. Only had 39 FB on it but has 10/500 limit on it.

Also had something interesting happen on pp account. Hit send money to paypal from bank...then got a request to send a copy of Social Security Card to verify Identity. I would suggest not sending money to you account from bank.

I read somewhere on the eBay website if you don't sell anything on an account for an entire year your Selling Limits go back to Zero and you may have to start all over again.

Yes also after a year you have no DSR....so I think that also plays into it as it has to be built back up again.

I am guessing when your season comes back round you would want to hit the ground running.

You do want to build up browsing history, but you also want to sell some oddball stuff. House items clothes that don't fit whatever. Make it .99 cent items if you have. Try to get a few seller feedback before you go hardcore. Always ease yourself back into selling even if it is just a few months since you quit selling even more if it is an entire year. If you can list low risk items, not vero or items that fall in the vero category.

Before starting an eBay account you want to make sure to clear the cookies and flash cookies. I would advise if you use Windows to make a New User Account on the Computer and on log onto it when you plan on using that eBay or Paypal. You want browsing history on eBay when you first register, look at a few items maybe buy a few cheap .99 cent things from China to get some feedback. You don't want to make a new account and dive right in and act like you have been using eBay for years on the first day let alone the first few months. Always act like you are new. When they send you the stupid thanks for registering Messages always just glance at them don't have to read them but always make it appear as you are a newbie.
