Default will this put up a red flag?

wondering if i start a new paypal account for a pre-07 ebay account that was linked to a previous paypal account (that paypal account wasn't linked to anyone or anything, it just doesn't belong to me and the person i got the account from wants to keep it), if that would red flag me?

Does the information match? Why not use the paypal account that you have with the pre 11.07 account?

You'll need to have a brand new ebay acount with the new brand new paypal account. Using an old paypal with the same eBay is pointless. eBay owns paypal.

The point of an account created before 11.07 is so you don't have to use paypal.

^^^To a degree that might be correct. But some categories require paypal to list the items. Some sellers may not have the option of merchant accounts for many reasons.

With said certain items, the pre 11-07 aspect is practically useless, IMO. It may be a tad more shielded from scrutiny, but with said items, not by much.

You can still use the merchant account to intercept the payments, just get the paypal account linked to ebay.

luvmyyorkie also said they got an old ebay account, and the person didn't want to give them the paypal account. If luvmyyorkie opens a new paypal account, it will be the same as the old paypal, and it will link with the old paypal.....

Yes it would but they should of thought of that before they got the account, you can use the same info as old paypal with different email. I did before on my original account later I made a second ebay paypal with same info. Then sold on the new ebay and because of the 21 day hold I put the old paypal e-mail in the new ebay listing.

If that's the case, you'll just have multiple ebay accounts with one paypal. You can have up to ten.

I still say he needs a merchant account

Paypal will never REMOVE information. Even if you remove it. Its still going to be in their database FOREVER. Doesnt matter from 98 or 2010. Its always going to be there. So yes it will link.

This has been confirmed with a 10 year gap.

Yes it will link but we're talking about accounts with the same info so it doesn't really matter if it links.
