Default additional verification,link verified paypal

Around one month ago, when i tried to relist a vero item, ebay asked additional verification to link verified paypal before i could list it and on ebay help page it says it's because the item is reported favored by counterfeiters. But i still could list other non vero items that dont include any brand names. After around 1 week,i tried to list the same vero items and i could list them with no problem. But today ebay asked me again to link verified paypal when i listed them and i still could list other non vero items.

Have anyone met the same problem?my question is if i linked a verified paypal, ebay would allow me to list with no problem in future?

thank you.

Yes I have the same problem. I opened 7 new seller accounts in May and phone verified them. The account lists 5-10 items and stops. It tells me to add a verified paypal account. They will not listed vero or non vero items.

I hope to add a verified Paypal account and remove it before it collects payments. Will this work?

I need to find a virtual credit card that works with paypal the cards I open the eBay accounts with are not accepted by paypal.

I consider myself an eBay veteran but a paypal novice.

HI:
The Paypal link must be there to list period... Once removed, it will ask for it again,, (If that was your question?)

They're really cracking down on people who sell a lot and don't have a linked Paypal account. Paypal accounts are too easy to get to not get one verified and confirmed for eBay. Read the Paypal limited section for more details.

Having a verified pp account linked to your ebay acc will give you a bit more breathing room when it comes to listing vero items.

my question is anyone who linked a verified paypal after getting that request, could list vero items without problem? I doubt that as i think its just the way ebay stop you list as ebay think that item is counterfeit.

one month ago when i got that,i didnt link a verified paypal just list some other non-vero items, after one week i tried to list that same vero item again, ebay didnt ask me to link paypal. So i guess even you link a verified paypal it could happen too.

Over the past months ebay has really made it difficult to sell vero items. Even with an account verified at paypal, there is no way to say if it will be OK for a seller to list lots of vero items.

I just got stopped by eBay & Paypal for selling Vero items. I have been selling like a champ for the past month with no bad feedback & no claims. Suddenly auctiva notified me of an api error while making a listing.

I was forced a few weeks ago to link my account to a verified and confirmed Paypal account. I created a verfied & confirmed linked Paypal account, but I used my ccnow account instead for payments. I sold for about 2 weeks after linking that Paypal account. Paypal then limited my account with them & restricted my eBay account. Paypal says that they now wants my id, utility bills, verifed phone number & invoices. I called to ask why is this nessasary because I offer payments with a merchant account. They said it's because I stated that I took Paypal via ccnow.

What a joke!

I think they are now requiring paypal verification, that is added and confirmed bank account with paypal, in order to stop people selling and leaving them with seller fees. I've done that for 1 month, and then things changed in May, now they need a paypal account.

BUT, you can still sell things in small quantities. That is, with same credit card create several accounts and on each of which you sell some things and then dump the account. Works fine if you have stuff laying around that you want to get rid of.

HI guys:
EVEN with a verified/Linked pp acct--VERO ITEMS will eventually kill you...

FYI_ I had a 6/7 yr pp acct linked to my main ebay acct- still got taken down, pp went through many limitations over the years, finally--transferring money from "ME" to "ME" did me in with that old pp acct.

As for Ebay--Even with a SOLID GOLD pp acct--they will limit your selling activity--until youve built up strong fb, no claims, etc...

I had almost 3,000 fb, 100% on one of my ps accts- still could only list so many bottles of Montblanc ink per week.. etc. etc..
So- There is no FREE RIDE.. NO MAGIC FORMULA--- just spread your items out over several accts--and several pp accts----
Good luck

I never got a dime with that Paypal account. I never listed anything offering my Paypal account...only ccnow. My Paypal was un-used...now they want a SS#! LOL ...I already protested that and it is up for review.

Same thing just happened to me for the first time. Forget about listing. I couldn't even edit my auctions. Creating a paypal account and getting it verified is not an option. Too much trouble for nothing. I don't even have an extra bank account to give them. For the record I attempted to prepay the account using bogus banking info to test it and it didn't do anything. I was able to list one more time as a result but after that it was back to usual again. Haven't tried the cc route. If anyone wants to try it report back here with your results. The only thing I can do now is wait till someone bids on my auction, end it early and I'll be able to list again. That seems to be how it works. Ebay appears to have set a certain dollar limit.

Ok..its official...Paypal gave me the "break up" letter because I refused to give them my SS# even though not one dime has been put in my Paypal account. Now the eBay ID is frozen from listing as well. On a better note..I am stiffing them for $500+ in fees......jackasses!
