Can I register as a seller without a bank account?

Can I register as an international seller without a bank account but only a credit card?

GrannyT 09-04-2012 03:02 AM

Yes I believe so but you will be unverified and will not be able to sell much before having to add a bank account

makaveliagain 09-04-2012 03:25 AM

Even as a US seller. One of my friends who does stealth registered as a seller about two years back without adding a bank account. He did verify the CC on PayPal. He had about $900 in sales then got a limitation from PayPal saying he needed to add a bank account. He was one of those drive to the university to use public pcs once a week sellers. Got behind and they finally indefinitely suspended the PayPal. It is probably harder to do that now because of the initial eBay selling limits. But still if you continue to sell without adding a bank account it will catch up with you at some point.

theseller 09-04-2012 05:47 AM

Ok I must add a bank account
I am in Israel, so do I need to open a legit bank account or can I just use a VBA? How do I know if eBay banned a specific VBA service?

SUVE 09-04-2012 06:50 AM

You NEED a legitimate bank account.

balzac 09-04-2012 07:18 AM

If you are registered as israel seller I guess you don't need VBA. VCC is okay. or maybe AVS is better choice.

I thought I'm finished with all the tasks after getting my prepaid card and now another task

GreenBean 09-04-2012 07:35 AM

Still not able to listen

How would you expect to get your FUNDS from selling your 100 items?

:juggle:

theseller 09-04-2012 07:39 AM

TowelKing told me I can have funds sent to my prepaid card

theseller 09-04-2012 08:06 AM

By the way can I start listing right away after I register or do I need to wait for while?

GreenBean 09-04-2012 08:10 AM

Do whatever you want.

Ruin another account.

78 posts and you have listened to

NOTHING.

Be that failure on your own head.

theseller 09-04-2012 09:25 AM

GreenBean you asked me to post what I have done so far but sorry I have no time to tell the full story, I'd rather write a book about it

In short this is what has happened:

- 1 account suspended
- 1 account indefinitely restricted from selling

The solution - go stealth

This is what I have done:

- I made a organized spreadsheet in Excel with the full information on each of the two suspended accounts
- Then added a new column for the new stealth account I am going to open

I already have a:

- New PC user
- New IP
- New account details for eBay and Paypal (name, address, new gmail, user ID, password, DOB)
- New prepaid credit card
- New phone number (new SIM card)

Nothing can link to my suspended accounts anymore unless an eBay Trust & Safety employee comes on here and finds out himself

Like you said I need a legit bank account - I already have one but it is the same bank # I used with my suspended account. Can I just get a VBA and then forward the money to my real bank account?

What is my plan: I don't know, going to wait a couple of days and then list 10 items?

theseller 09-05-2012 12:19 AM

I registered the account last night
Do I need to wait a couple of days before listing or can I list right away?

GreenBean 09-05-2012 02:14 AM

Go check the properties of a VBA.

See how using them will tie into your proposed methods.

They really do not. Strike 1.

Paypal verified & confirmed No? Strike 2

Listing immediately, with no feedback? Listing immediately with the outlined method....

if you gamble maybe..:peace:

theseller 09-05-2012 03:51 AM

I haven't listed anything so far just waiting for instructions from you
TowelKing PMed me:

"That's not true - you don't need a bank account with paypal. That's only true for USA accounts that must have a bank account in order to verify them."

So if I registered a Israeli account on eBay.com do I need a verified bank account for a verified seller account or not?

GrannyT 09-05-2012 07:25 AM

Yes

:ranger:

TowelKing 09-05-2012 07:51 AM

Ok, the seller - I have made over 20 stealth accounts, I actively work on 5 of them.

Whatever I am telling you is 100% CORRECT and you would prefer listening to me on some topics than to other forum members since I am from Israel too.

YOU DO NOT NEED A BANK ACCOUNT FOR A ISRAELI PAYPAL!!!

PayPal accounts in Israel become verified just by adding a credit card and verifying it, you can also withdraw money to credit cards so a bank account is COMPLETELY USELESS.

Also, a VBA with a Israeli paypal account is useless too - what are you gonna do with it?

Thank you towelKing

SUVE 09-05-2012 10:01 AM

Interesting insight from TK.

slim jim 09-05-2012 10:03 AM

let's all move to israel!

theseller 09-05-2012 10:14 AM

ok now I know for sure I don't need a bank account for to become verified on PayPal but

do I need a bank account if want to become a verified SELLER account? I mean, with a store and that

TowelKing 09-05-2012 10:21 AM

I recommend you be very careful with what you list first, here are some guidelines:

You have to look like a new ebay member, the first listing you upload must be something like this:

- Auction style, not buy it now.
- Opening price should be $3.00, a lower price or higher price would trigger ebay - opening the auction in 0.01 cent or 0.99 cent will get you banned.
- List something a new member woud list, not anything dropshipped from China/USA - something low risk that might be found on your house (like a book).
- Do not upload more than 1 listing.
- Make sure you receive feedback from your first buyer before uploading more listings. This is very important.

theseller 09-05-2012 10:23 AM

That is a very good advice but what if no one buys my item?

GrannyT 09-05-2012 11:10 AM

Get a friend to buy it

theseller 09-05-2012 11:17 AM

I have no friends :(

Elijah 09-05-2012 11:36 AM

To be honest it will not even be an issue if nobody buys it; you will still have benefited. Just getting past the first listing without suspension is a significant milestone for any account and worth celebrating because the chances of being suspended (the MC067, MC081, MC141 and so on...) are significantly lower after the first listing. Just don't get too carried away after that and you should be fine...

I personally throw a small party in honour of my accounts once they have got past the first listing. It means that they have a very, very bright future ahead.

theseller 09-05-2012 02:36 PM

That means if I successfully list one item and get past it without suspension can I start listing more items even if the first item didn't sell?

Elijah 09-05-2012 02:50 PM

Yes, indeed. That is why it is reason to celebrate. The first listing is the most important since it is like their system is more stringent on the first listing than subsequent ones... for example, when I make a listing for the first time, it is often not visible for up to 12 hours or so. But once it does appear, I will list more items and often they will be visible immediately. It's like they "quarantine" the first listing and if all looks to be good, they give you a "listing pass" to list more items. I would wait until your item is visible before listing any others as once it appears, you can be sure that you have been cleared of the "quarantine".

I have had many MC notices after listing the first item, but if the account is still alive after 12 hours or so, I can be sure that I have passed the test and am free to list more; I never get the MC notices (as long as I don't do anything strange/stupid) when I list on an account where it has been 12 hours or more since listing first item without suspension.

slim jim 09-05-2012 02:50 PM

if you sell an item worth $10 for $3 with free shipping, there is little chance it won't sell

theseller 09-06-2012 12:29 AM

if my item gets a lot of views then obviously it will sell but what if it's not even getting any views because it's not a popular item and no one even search for it

GrannyT 09-06-2012 01:56 AM

Yes but what if ........ and what if .......... and what if .......... and what if .........

And what if I never do anything what will happen then?

If I don't list anything will my account be safe?

If I just talk about it can I make a decent living on Ebay?

Does just talking about it put my account at risk?

Is Ebay for me?

Keep things simple and operate well - stop looking for ways around PP`s setup rules.

theseller 09-06-2012 07:12 AM

Just wait and find out. =) If it gets sold ship it out wait a while (few days) then list some more and keep building on it.

If you get limited then make another acc and try again. And this time adjust a few things and see what happens. You can even make 5 accounts at once to get more accounts started. Don't be afraid. Your account is new whats the worst thing that can happen? Get banned then try again and again and again till you get it right. Seems to be working for TowelKing and he's from Isreal too, go learn more from him. =)

yes TowelKing is my best source of information she helped me with everything and knew to answer all my questions but so far I did everything by the book so I hope there is no surprise

If my item hasn't sold and 3 days are past since I started the account can I list more items? can I list 3-5 at once or just 1 at a time?

GreenBean 09-07-2012 03:44 AM

We are NOT going to run your account.

Make your own choices. You will blame us for troubles.

I don not want that to happen

theseller 09-07-2012 04:43 AM

no I won't blame you
I just don't want to mess up after all my effort to set up the stealth account
12 hours are past and they didn't suspend me can I list more items now
