LOL, charge back my friend.
If you sell something for 300 bucks, paid via paypal, meet the person to have them pick it up and they want to screw you over(again, 9 times out of 10 this will happen). What proof do you have? (which ebay/paypal deems acceptable?)

You're out your 300 bucks + fees and you have a good paypal account now in the negative that you will be held responsible for.

That's a good point, thanks. Even though I'm selling $3-4 items - I'll still take cash though! But I'll keep in mind what you said about that local pick-up scam for when I sell some more expensive items.

Thanks for all the replies everyone.

Also...

Might it be a red-flag if I'm getting feedback too soon after the auction? For example, when someone locally buys & comes to pick it up, I'll remind them to please leave feedback. Which they'll likely do that very same day..

Not an issue - paranoia is good but don't let it take over your life - keep a sense of perspective

Someone who WANTS to buy it. They're all $10-20 locally right now. So it's more than just "$4"..It's a really good deal to most. Why does this concern you? Is it so unusual to go out and buy something? Am I supposed to deliver it?
