Paying eBay fees with green dot prepaid card?
 

Hi all,

I was reading that you should pay your eBay fees with a prepaid card (preferably green dot) and add your stealth info to that card via their website. However, when I read about the card on their website, it says "you will need to provide your social security number and other information." What the heck? :doh: Did any of you run into this problem? If so, how should I pay my fees? They were due a few days ago so I need to take care of this ASAP :pop2:

Use a giftcard not prepaid card. It's also ok to do a one time payment using Paypal if you have the funds.

Is it really? Crap. wish I had known this before I transferred funds :( I thought that was unsafe? Should I still add my personal info to the gift card or does that no matter (and that doesn't sound like it's possible anyways)

EDIT: One more thing - they already tried to charge the card on file and it was denied. Is this bad? :eek:

I believe prepaid card is fine.
I doubt they can pull out your SSN and other information from your prepaid card except name and billing address.
Correct me if I am wrong.
