Default First Christmas selling on ebay, what to expect.

Hello Forums,

This is probably a question that many new members want to ask the experts. What should we expect selling on the holiday?
I currently average about 20-30 sales a day. How much increase should I expect?

Any additional input is also greatly appreciated

Nobody can answer that question accurately for you. It depends completely on you, what the item is, what the price is, what your feedback and DSR are, how in demand your item is during Christmas, etc.

This depends on way too many factors. I would say it should increase from 20-30 sales a day on average to 30-60+ sales a day on average. It is impossible to say.

Get ready for most of the moron buyers to come out and buy stuff from everyone, but its all worth.

I've been selling on Amazon and I'd say my sales have increased about 3x since Black Friday. Granted I don't have a ton of sales as some people here do, but 3x my previous amount is good no matter what your volume is. I also agree with yotano211 that less intelligent buyers tend to come out during Christmas, but they are also willing to pay higher prices since they "need" to buy gifts for their friends and family. I also agree with imjustme that your specific expectations will be different depending on who you are as a seller.

This has been a trend for myself as well. It is typically anywhere from 3x to 20x the average daily sales, and this starts around black friday and goes through mid January.

Yay! It will be great to get rid of some of the stock that I have. I have around 300 physical items which I'm trying to unload.

Since the crazy Black Friday rush began Thursday I have been overwhelmed.
I have had OVER 1,300 orders.
These are items that I physically have to package & mail.
I have been doing nothing the past 3 days except packing & printing postage.

I am almost completely out of inventory and it will be a welcome break.

My sales have started increasing already, but i normally get a bigger boom in january. :/ last year my sales during most of the year were around 100 sales per day, december around 130-140, in january around 200.

Same here, almost out of inventory. I have had to get buy lots of more stuff from a US supplier who charges double but I still make a little profit. My average daily shipments are up 4-6x vs a regular day.
