eBay Asking for Reinbursement $1000 & ALSO a Negative PP Balance

Hello,

So, I just lost an eBay case that had started like 4 months back. And I have used up the money (taking it off my PP) long time ago, which is about $1000.

Now, on eBay it says I owe them like $1000 because they refunded the buyer on my behave with their money, so now it says I need to set a reimbursement payment method. They also placed a dispute on the transaction in my PayPal account and I am now about $800 in negative.

As none of these accounts are stealth with PP being SSN verified, I just wonder what will happen if I don't pay? I guess they will send it over to a debt collecting agency.

But the most important part I'm trying to figure out is, if I make my PP balance $0 again, would that mean that I have paid eBay the money they were asking for?
Or is it going to be that I have to pay them twice the same amount? o,o
Because on the eBay site it says I owe them $1000, and also in my PP I'm in red due to the dispute eBay has put on the transaction (which caused me to go into the $800 negative).

Thanks,
Sedoc94

I am confused.

You appear to have different amounts in each of your threads about outstanding monies.

Figures vary from $400 to now $1000.

Which one are we hoping to assist you with?

Those have been solved already. This is a new case, thats why I opened a new thread.

You wont have to pay double - either eb or pp - that you would have to clarify with them.

There are various threads on the forum that discuss what can be expected from balances owed. NL might have a different policy. Where are your accounts based?

Sounds kind of sketch

The Netherlands, but I use the US eBay to sell stuff.

So you have to figure what does pp do to NL sellers in default of payment...and make decisions accordingly.

I dont know your collection laws. PP in CA and USA can take to collections and affect credit history.

And if I deposit some money every week until I am out of red, will they meanwhile still send it over to a collection agency?

you dont have much "luck" do you :violin:

I do. It's just that I'm only asking info about the bad stuff..

Happened to me before. I payed Ebay and had to call Paypal to tell them it was already paid.

You go to ebay/paypal and either pay to make the balance ZERO.

Or you go to ebay/paypal and make a deal with them as to what to do with the funds that are due.

More importantly, re-value your business practices.

as the green one says

call them and make an arrangement to pay a certain amount (affordable to you) every month

this will keep them off your back as long as you stick to it

a relative works for the company who deals with UK collections and thats how it works here

not sure about US although im sure it will be similar

the debt isnt really enforcable but it all comes down to morals

some have them some dont
