Safest email client for stealth account. Gmail not safe !!
 

Today i found out that gmail gives out your ip, but only if the person who received the message also has gmail.

This is unsafe and no one ever told me that. Everyone kept saying how gmail doesnt give out ip :(

Which email client is safe for ebay and amazon stealth accounts to reply to buyers?

Do you feel that some how your customers care what your IP is? The majority of people don't look at IP's in their email or care.

So you think eBay is re-routing it's incoming emails thru a Gmail account to check for IP"s?

well some people respond to amazon and ebay emails through email.

so they could track your ip from that email

some guy is reporting that he was banned from amazon after responding to a buyer trough gmail, he assumed gmail doesnt give out ip.

and when you respond to a buyer, actually that message gets sent an an amazon email like amazon-d14411sj4z@amazon.co.uk . So they could see the ip.

But it was assumed that gmail didnt give out ip :(

Send an email from 1 or your gmail accounts to another, check the header, and report back. I did.:pop2:

So anyone know what the safest email client is?

What solid proof do you have of this though?

Gmail is nice but I still prefer to reply on the Az platform itself.

The only IP address in a gmail header will be that of the gmail server unless you use a mail client e.g Outlook or Apple mail to send or reply from your computer.

If you use ONLY the gmail web interface then it will only be their server IP shown, not your computers public IP

why would you customers care about the ip you are using to reply to e-mails

Never reply ur mail from gmail, never click on any
link from ebay in gmail unless and untill
u r using the same ip which u use to access ur
ebay

So isnt the answer just to go into your user account in windows and respond to emails there? Then the ip matches yor e bay ip for that session.

Yes! It is not worth the alternatives. Pushauction is the only alternative I see and the price at least to me is not worth it

Stay away from gmail.

Worked great for years. 2w ago i replied to ebay email on my main account via gmail and got an email back from ebay saying that i could not send the email from ... An old suspended account i never log into!?!?
Next day i had 3 accounts suspended.

Ebay must be testing new linking features in gmail.

In short, they can't.

They can only link you through Gmail if you have replied to email through a mail client like Outlook or Apple Mail or have images enabled or clicked on an embedded link.

There is no other way they can link you to any other accounts other than human error.

I'm so paranoid of this that I switch IP's even if answering messages thru gmail even though I know gmail doesn't transmit your IP.
