Can I set up "back up" ebay accounts with my current "good" IP address? What will happen them if I do that and later on my current account gets suspended for some reason? Will eBay automatically cancel those out because they were previously created on a newly banned IP?

That a good question which I have stumbled upon. My account#1 got suspended 2 months ago, and my account#2 was linked (I access them one after another all the time with the same IP) to it but never got suspended yet.
But I use a different IP to get a new "back up" account. Just in case. So I suggest you do the same.
