Default A top rated account got hacked.....big time!

One of my accounts got hacked by a scammer who was selling digital items and left me with 4 negatives on a perfectly clean ebay account! They also hacked my paypal, spent the cash and now people are asking refunds on items i didnt sell! What should I do? I've also notice a unsual device connected to my wireless network! I've asked my family members if they did this, but their phones and computers are recognizable when i look at the list of wireless devices. Why would someone do this to me?

Because you were an easy target. You did not take the necessary security steps to safeguard yourself.

After all that happened, THIS is your only question? Seriously? Why do people rob banks?

Call paypal & contact ebay tell them you where hacked, DO NOT tell them you might think its somebody you know, you want to esentially blame it on them and dont blame yourself.

I suggest you check your System for any malware, or other viruses. If someone hacked you they most likely logged into your computer.

Is your Ebay/Paypal info on a local drive or flash drive?

What did they spend your paypal cash on if I may ask. That is the trail I would follow to lead to the culprit.

I will be calling ebay about the hack as the scammer left me with 5 negs, and a $200 bill. I'd really like to close my paypal account because I shouldnt be responsible for refunding SALES i never sold and i found out it was a crappie virus program that gave the hacker all my info.

I would be focusing my attentions on the security issue firstly so it can never happen again.
Could of been so much worse.

I personally suggest you wipe your PC clean and start fresh with a solid Anti-Virus and firewall.

Okay, basically did a restore and got avg virus program...i know that feebay will take off all the negatives and credit my account (for the fees) but im wondering if my paypal acct should be closed before anything else happens? Like i said, i shouldnt be held responsible for these people's refunds, especially it wasnt my fault.

Not as simple as that or everyone could claim they were hacked once they had a few negs build up.
You will have quite a task ahead proving this to EB as im sure they here it on a daily basis.

Doesnt matter if they sold mystical powers to small aliens on mars .
If you would like a pre run of the conversation you will have with ebay pop outside and start chatting away to your house wall.
Thats about as much sense as you will get .
