eBay buyer accounts requiring further verification?

Is eBay now asking for phone number verification for every BUYER account also? It seems like eBay is getting more and more inconvenient.

No, just created one right now and doesnt even verify the email. Maybe if you link a pp account and the info doesnt match they ask you to verify.

Let me get this straight, right after you hit submit the registration it asks you to verify the phone number?

Usually paypal requires a verification upon trying to make a purchase, you are ok until then. This can continue for up to 50 puchases of entering a code. Also, be prepared for paypal to actually phone you to speak & confirm you made the purchase.

Imjustme: Basically, yes! It won't let me do ANYTHING until I verify a phone number.. this has happened about 10 times in a row.
