Default When ebay asks for supplier invoices..

I reckon i worry too much, ive only started selling and im worried if ebay will ask me for supplier invoices this soon. So im preparing myself. What i want to know is are store purchase receipts accepted by ebay? Also would they ask for supplier invoices still even though im not selling atleast 5 of the same item?

Your right to be prepared as they can ask for them at anytime regardless of age of the account or the volume you sell.

A lot will depend on what you are selling and whether you have the right to resell any item.

I would suggest you read e/b help pages related to VeRo for further guidance.

Store receipts are not what they are looking for. They want you to convince them that you have a legit and steady supplier which is what most legit businesses have.

Can i not convince them i am simply re-selling items bought at sale price from a retail store?

Also the items are gps sat nav's/ external hard drives, mainly gadgets or electronics.

I have had some luck in the past just generating invoices using Chinese suppliers information. With that said, I think this is a case by case basis and will depend on who is reviewing it and what you're selling

Approximately, how many items did the invoice show that you "purchased" wholesale from them? And did you sell more than 5 or even 10 of the same items?

Only if you are a smooth talker.

ebay rarely expect a full time seller to have that type of plan

I just put line items for some of the products I sold, if I sold 10 of them I put the quantity down at like 12 or 15 and made the price 55-65% of what the item sold on ebay for

Do they ask for one product at a item or sales over a set time period? Have you ever had to send 5+ invoices in one go?

To be honest if you're buying from a shop at retail price they will deem your business model inappropriate and probably shut you down as being a 'risk' or something very similar.

Take the right approach and get creative and tell them you bought a 1000... how do they know you dont have 980 sitting behind the computer screen?

I've used store receipts sometimes and sometimes eBay accepts them and sometimes they don't. Guess it's another one of those things where you just never know with eBay...

Yes, I just gave them "one" invoice with a invoice dated from the month prior. They didnt ask for anymore invoices.

What was their explanation for not accepting the store receipt?

I run test accounts. Really played them to see what could happen.

One account where I used a store receipt failed... the quote was bad business model. ebay/paypal decide in advance most of the time if the account will be restored.

Others I used a mixture of receipts and they got passed.

Think cjmixers said it correctly........... depends on the mood of the staff member when checking accounts.

I do not get it, Why don't you just ask who ever your getting the items from to simply give you an Invoice?,,,You Cannot because your items are "Truck Specials" or maybe even "China Specials" right, well, now you know why you have this problem,,,If I were you Id open an Account with a REAL Wholesaler, It is NOT that hard, you just have to wanna do it,, once you have a REAL Wholesale source, then Give Ebay all the Invoices they want, along with your sales Rep Direct phone number,,I bet you will NEVER have a Problem with that account once you do that,,,
