Ebay fees are not calculated with the shipping fee included .
Its calculated on the goods sale price only.
Unless of course if you use free shipping in your listings then you are paying a fee on this.
I actually don't blame ebay for this. Lot of people were getting away with selling items for $1 and a shipping costs of like $350 therefore shifting the actual value of the item on the shipping cost to circumvent fees. Even more people were at least profiting somewhat on the shipping. To this day you still see a lot of people clearly getting their profits from the shipping cost.
Sorry, but it is wrong for them to set a max limit on the amount you can charge a customer for shipping an item that does not cover the actual cost and then take a 'commission' from that amount.

There are always ways to recover those fees. Just need to not overdo it and make it super obvious.... If it is a buy it now, then I offer free shipping where total price of item would cover all costs and get enough profit. Otherwise its not worth selling....
