Item bought by ebay worker
 

i sold a legit expensive designer brand item for a pretty high value. for some reason i decided to google the buyers name. and off their linkedin..they work for ebay lol. should i be worried? My item is real and not replica.

no not stealth yet...this is off my personal/regular account..and yes, i have shipped already..good to hear..i was just worried if they try and pull a fast one bc it is a designer brand.

its real so nothing to be concerned about

Wonder what made you look into the buyer.

Did they comment or something that made you suspicious?

I always look into my buyers too, some kind of paranoia when they don't seem very responsive to your messages.

I dont know how you can do this if you sell a lot of items.

For me I want paid, I want feedback done deal.

As long as I get paid on time I dont even deal with any buyer.

If I dont get paid in a reasonable time then I look deeper.

I'm with Sandy D on this one.

As long as I get paid promptly and have no hassles after the sale I couldn't give a monkey's who or what the buyer is.

if this was an 'undercover operation' i doubt they would have their personal info so easily found. i doubt they would even use a real name. there are human beings in the organization :)

Did they state on their account they are employed by ebay?

Yeah i'd think so too. Also, I thought that eBay just bought from big powersellers mainly to check up on the overall service they're providing and stuff like that. If it were a designer item it surprises me that eBay would buy it to check authenticity. I thought there were already all sorts of brands, including high end designer ones, who were buying their own items undercover...It's not like people working for eBay know the exact differences between a real and f@ke Gucc/i bag, for example. They would have to go get it officially authenticated. Whereas if it were the actual brand buying their own item, they could tell immediately once they opened it.

And OP did the buyer have thousands of feedback? Maybe it could be just a coincidence that they worked at eBay in the past
