I thought there were already all sorts of brands, including high end designer ones, who were buying their own items undercover...It's not like people working for eBay know the exact differences between a real and f@ke Gucc/i bag, for example. They would have to go get it officially authenticated. Whereas if it were the actual brand buying their own item, they could tell immediately once they opened it.
And OP did the buyer have thousands of feedback? Maybe it could be just a coincidence that they worked at eBay in the past
