Default Bought an item, paid for it, but listing removed by ebay

Hey guys,

This time, I am the buyer here.

I saw this seller refurbished ipod touch 2nd gen a couple days ago and submitted an offer 10 dollars less than the listed price, and the seller accepted it the next day. I paid for it yesterday using PP, but when I went to my ebay to see whether it was shipped or not, it was nowhere to be found. Then I went to my inbox too see if I could get to that same listing (I had asked him a question earlier about shipping), when I clicked on the listing, it said that the listing was removed. I then proceeded to check his other items and they were all removed (he had a bunch of items listed the day before). He had close to 300 FB and all 100%. Today though he received his first neg that said he didn't honor the deal after accepting the offer. I sent him a message asking what was going on. PayPal shows the money was taken out.

Has something like this happened anyone before? Any advice? Thanks in advance.

I do not want to do that just yet. I would like to give the seller a couple of days before opening up a dispute.

Just to add to the above, I did not receive any kind of e-mail/notification from ebay regarding the removal the listing.

If you still want the item, I'd wait to see if you receive it. You have 45 days to open a dispute.

eBay often remove listings for some of the dumbest reasons I have encountered, which includes reports from competitors. Just wait for a fair amount of time for the item to arrive. If not, just open up a claim.

I have had that happen to me a couple of different times and in both cases the item was delivered and was just fine. Email the seller and ask them the status of the order.
