MC018 eBay Listing Removed: Inappropriate Item Description

Unfortunately, we had to remove your listing because the following information violates our policy:

In order to ensure that we have an accurate record of listings, sellers aren't permitted to host item descriptions outside eBay.

To protect buyers and make sure sellers follow eBay policies, sellers can't host item descriptions outside of eBay. The item description and terms of sale must be hosted on our site. Also, sellers can't include the item description or terms of sale in an image.

For more information on the rules for sellers, please visit:
http://pages.ebay.com/help/sell/policies.html

You may need to take a tutorial. The next time you sell, you may be asked to take the tutorial, if it's required. Once you've completed the tutorial successfully, please review your account status for any other possible concerns. If there are no other issues, you should be able to sell again.

Please note: violation of this or other eBay policies may result in forfeit of eBay fees on cancelled listings, limits on account privileges and account suspension.

You can review our listing removal policies and seller rules by clicking the links below.

Thanks for your understanding.

If you have any more questions, chat with one of our policy experts any time from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM MST. Get started by clicking the link below.

Has anyone got this one before?

I know it must be a competitor that reported me. on my listings i dont use any text just a jpeg hosted on photobucket with all the info. Im guessing a competitor reported me with that reason since none of my other listings got removed with the same jpeg format.

Do you guys recommend that I just type everything out on my listing instead of jpeg and RELIST this product since that was the reason for the takedown?

Or is there a chance that i can get suspended? I know if i create a new account for it it will be the same thing because its only 2 other sellers selling similar thing.

Please I need some advice since this product will be selling hot a month or 2. Thanks

It's a bad practice anyways to host an image of the description, especially outside of eBay. Any seller could change the description after the listing is sold and therefor neither eBay, PayPal or the buyer would have proof of what he really bought.

It might not have been a competitor.

I am fairly sure eBay has bots that can see that you essentially have NO description for the item you are selling. To the bots, your whole description is just a link reference to a picture.

Best bet is to re-type the JPEG info into text and scrap the JPEG completely.
