Going on "Vacation" Ebay repercussions

im wondering if i put my account on vacation status how will that affect my account?

i been bringing some real cash. i want to give it some time to cool off and get a couple of stealths going.

do i have to keep it active will my selling and listing limts be reduced?

thanks for the info =}

You can put the account 'on vacation'.

Make sure all your last sales are shipped & check for issues etc.

I would not recommend a long period for this vacation. LOL. If you have vErO issues, then you will already know how long to cool off.
I would buy on the account so there is some activity.

Depends more on your actual reasons.

How long do you figure your vacation to be?

Just asking because GB recommendation about not going too long is relevant...

90 days vacation

Cool:)

90 day vacation.

Dang people we are all doing something wrong.

I dont think I would let new or newer accounts sit for 90 days without some browsing or something on them.

Are you actually leaving home and going somewhere for all 90 days in a row?

And older account might survive "some" lapse time but to list like crazy and then let them sit for 90 days. I would not if they were my accounts.

I would never let my accounts sit. I log in every single day multiple times, even if it is just to play and search some listings or check my feedback or sales page.
I only go 2 weeks or so without selling, it usually gives paypal time to cool off.

If you have too much going through at one time, they absolutely freak out.

I can do 25k at a time without them going nuts, so I try and limit it to around that and then let it cool off with a week or two time lapse.

We agree.

90 days dormant with any action is risky in my opinion.

How many bad marks do you have already?

90 days vacation is not wise.

You have to have activity of some sort on the account. You need to be doing repair work.

Your DSR will be affected depending on any issues you have and will be affected when you get back.

Now I know why I did not get my package.

If it's an established account, the selling limits could go down.

vogeltron 02-14-2013 06:20 AM

I agree, if you don't have much listed there is no reason to go on vacation setting. Hell take whatever you have with you unless you are out of the country. But I do agree, it is OCD especially people who have stealth accounts and been through it all. We are worried about every little thing. Personally I am worried when I miss a weekend I couldn't imagine 90 days. I guess that tells you how involved I am in eBay.
