How can you call an AMERICAN call center?
 

Anybody know any tricks for reaching the Utah or California call centers? I think I've tried them all at this point. Thanks!

Any specific reason? I would assume their all the same.

It has been a long time back but I actually asked them to please let me speak to someone in America as I do not want my personal information discussed to someone who is outside of the USA.

I think they gave me a phone number to call if I can remember correctly.

Call the seller's vetting department...it will get you directly to Utah. I know this because I was talking with them and they had to hang up and call me right back. Showed up as Utah.

That should do it.

You could certainly be right, but some people say that they've had remarkable success getting American CSRs and such to go beyond just reading scripts and have gotten them to actually do something helpful.

That trick apparently won't work now, sadly. I wish you had saved that phone number!

This sounds promising! How would I find this number?

I'm just immediately asking the CSRs how do I call an American call center and they are all giving the same response: keep calling whatever number you just called and it could happen randomly. This has happened enough that I've even poked around some on the internet to see if they even have American call centers (apparently they ARE still hiring for them).

On the selling page, find the box with your selling limits. There's a small link that says "request higher limits". This puts you directly to the seller's vetting department....USA based out of Utah. The phone number is 866-492-3229. Hours of operation for them are:

Monday through Friday, 6:00am - 7:00pm Pacific Time Saturday and Sunday 6:00am - 4:00pm Pacific Time.

They DO NOT operate under the normal business hours of regular CS.

Hours are the operative words.

Check either Mumbai time or Manila time with the USA....

attempt the call around the time the overseas centers are closing.
Reasonable chance of getting USA operators.

When do you think that would that be? On a recent Friday I called (877) 322-9081 and after getting the "all monkeys are currently busy assisting other customers" message and a 2 minute wait was connected to someone who sounded absolutely American but admitted that she was on the other side of the globe. That was almost 10 AM PT, 11:30 PM Mumbai time, 2 AM Saturday Manila time. I don't know anything about Third World labor laws but I doubt they have any.

Boost...just called...waiting time was 133 mintues....
