Default Do you get more sales using BIN compared to auction?

Do you reckon Buy it now gets more sales as compared to auction style listings. Also are there disadvantages to selling with BIN, possibly eBay asking for invoices or buyers giving too many offers etc?

It all depends on what you selling.

I agree.

If I have an item I know sells for 75.00 and I can make quick profit I list with a BIN.

If you researched the product and see if varies then I would list it for a low starting price and let it run.

I run a lot of items Sunday to Sunday because of my busy schedule but I do some BIN on hand picked items I know wont last hours of listing them.

Zone is correct, depends totally on your product.

i will rarely use auctions. i know what price i want for my items and i will wait til i get that price to sell it. i don't have to worry about underselling, etc. and if i want to move it quicker i just lower the price

I do auctions.

I set the starting price to my minimum, and if it goes higher then that's great. I then second chance offer most of the other bidders as well.

I prefer BIN most of the time if I am selling multiple quantity or variation items. Otherwise I will normally do Auctions. But I agree, it does depend on the item. So things are more seasonal and if you list auction during the off-season you may not get the price you want.
