Adding credit/gift card necessary?

Hey, is it necessary to add one to either paypal/ebay? I know for paypal its used to lift the monthly withdrawal limit but will adding one to paypal/ebay reduce the chance of limitation? I only have a verified bank on my paypal.

The best method for having a verified Paypal is your Bank Account + VCC, Visa Gift Card.
It's best to look completely legit in Paypals eyes. No need to add anything to Ebay.

Depends on how much you plan on selling early on. Not needed to sell a few items every once and a while.

You have to have a reimbursement method on file to sell on ebay. The cheapest and easiest way is a giftcard or VCC(cheapest being a giftcard of course).

To be honest, I couldn't even tell you if you're able to link your paypal as reimbursement method if it doesn't have funding attached. I've never done it.

My procedure is alway's to add a giftcard to my paypal and then link paypal as my reimbursement method. Only after the account proves successful and garners a few thousand dollars, do I add a bank account. I don't like to add the BA until I know the account is going strong, otherwise I stand the chance of burning out that BA.

I've had lots of success doing it this way for several years but others have their own successful ways.

I never attach any cards or any other payment method to ebay.

How do you get the funds out of your paypal accounts?

I didn't say I don't have BA's attached to other paypal accounts. There are a few different ways to get the money over.

I'm willing to sacrifice paypal fees to avoid BA's until I reach my sending limit.

I also buy a lot of things using paypal, and these accounts are great for that. Finding merchants that submit your billing address instead of your shipping address is key.

Rule of thumb: paypal LOVES information so more info tends to portray a more open light to the system.

That being said, adding a card wont really save you if your operations are risky or "out of whack" in PP's opinion.
