Just posting my ebay life after suspension and letting everyone know how well the book is working. Purchased book on 7/13/2008 and read the whole thing for a couple hours. Opened excel and started making up a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ name. Opened a new bank account with WaMu. Deleted all cookies and backup internet files and changed ip address and flash cookies. I created a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ address on posted in excel. Used a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ address in the same city im living in because of ip information. Today (7/15/08) I got a new phone number and confirmed with ebay. Opened a new PayPal account today also with same ⊗⊗⊗⊗ info. I purchased a simon gift account to confirm my paypal account to pay fees through ebay. Now I am just waiting on my checks to arrive from the WaMu account so I can confirm my PayPal account using the bank information. I will keep updating this and let everyone know how it works out. Thanks for the book by the way. GREAT PURCHASE!!! May need some updating though, not positive.

You access your WAMU account online to verify the deposits, no need to wait for checks in the mail.

You should have access to it online.

I won't be able to have access to it online until I can verify the debit card or account number. I just wasn't sure if the book was up to date with all the new ebay and paypal rubbish they are pulling. But I love the book :)

I'd say it's 95% still up to date, though we're working on a new version now. Hopefully it'll be out within the next week. Mike and I are working hard on it.

philly387, Why not phone WAMU customer service and ask for your account details?

Well...that worked...thanks GreenBean! I didn't want to login to my account because it is the same username as one of my ebay accounts so i didnt even want to take the chance. So I just had them deposit the small amounts into my account.

Oh and by the way ebayhateluv, my routing number is different. Not sure if that would matter or not but my guess would be that it would matter. Thanks for helping! Greatly appreciated and I love the forum!!! AWESOME INFO HERE :)

Just to let you know, you can check you wamu account details online, by click on setup direct deposit. It will bring up a pdf with a image of what your check would look like, along with all the account numbers you need.

Thank you. That is what the rep. told me to do and it worked...just awaiting the deposits into my account. Anyone know how long it usually takes for that? I figured a couple hours.

Put 2 items up for sale today for 3 day auctions. Starting out really slow. Maybe I will do a couple more later tonight. And then tomorrow do about 10 or so.

Philly, you need to be slower i think. Not 3 today then 10 tommorow.
Do 3 over a 3 day auction for 2 weeks then up it to 5 and repeat.

If you dont decide to take my advice, let me know how you get on and what you are selling so i know how safe it is.

PayBay - I live in the UK and I can assure you that the book is of relevance to ebay.co.uk. OK, there may ba a couple of things specific to people based in the US such as info on the pre-paid credit cards but Aspkin has provided UK specific alternatives where appropiate.

Buy the book - it's fantastic and will save you heaps of time and worry in the future.

Today (17th) I listed one this morning and one about 30 minutes ago.

I will probably list 2 more tonight at some point.

Sold my first 2 items today and had 1 paid already. No problem. Currently have 9 items going. eBay did call me lot long after the items were sold and the call was not forwareded to my cell phone by evoice. They left a msg but all it was is the phone being hung up.

what will you do when they limit your paypal and ask for SSN?

As far as I know, you do not have to give them SSN. You give them bank info and credit card info and you just have to confirm the deposits in the bank account and the charge to your credit card. I have never gave them a SSN

they will ALWAYS ask for SSN when you have large amount of money going through your paypal.

I only have about $4000 going through my account every month. Not very much. That is probably why I never had to supply it.

So I have followed the stealth book, and so far so good. I have sold 9 items and have 8 going right now. Making about 3 auctions a day and going strong. Withdrew funds from my paypal account to my bank account fine. Verified my paypal account with simon giftaccount and bank account. Got the $500 limit lifted from the PayPal account.

I sell on average about 7 items a day. As of today, I have sold and shipped out 57 items and have 8 feedback. All positives. I have 20 active listings right now and still running great! It has been about 2 weeks since I have had this account with NO PROBLEMS! So from what I can see, the Stealth Book is AMAZING!!!

Ok, as of now I have sold 84 items and have 34 feedback all positive. Currently have 18 active listings. I withdraw about $50 everyday from PP.

philly -- are you limited to $500 withdraw a month? if so, did u get the limit lifted using a simon card?

I did get the limit lifted using the simon card and bank account. Worked great. Just hoping they don't ask for SS# for a while! I've never had them ask for it before so... we will see.

So, the conclusion of my first month is as follows:
I have used 1 day, 3 day, and 7 day listings. These are all low risk items to remind you.
I have 60+ feedback and have sold 125+ items. I haven't asked anyone to leave feedback, they have all done it on there own.
I have had over $4,000 going in/out of my paypal account over the month also with no problems. That doesn't mean I have profited that much, that is just the amount going in and out. I followed the Stealth book and so far...it works wonders!!!

As of Today, PayPal has limited my account and I have to provide SS# and all that good stuff....so bye bye to this account!!! Time to start with another

Ughh.. that sucks.. complete crap.. How much gross money went through do you estimate?

$8,000 in 2 months probably. Not a lot. The reason could have been because I got my first negative feedback and first dispute on the account. Completely stupid reason the guy gave me too...owell. I HIGHLY doubt it had anything to do with the amount going in/out of the account.

when you say oh well. time to start with a new paypal account, that means you'll have to get a new ebay account as well right? and there goes all your feedback too? because if you kept the same ebay and got a new paypal, linking them would raise suspicion as you moved from one account to the other when asked for SS. Also to verify the new one you'd have to go get a new bank acc also right? Can you just sum up these questions based on how you will handle the situation when you say time to get a new pp? Thanks a lot.

I live in the states and have never entered my SS# to Paypal. When did Paypal started asking this? I thought all you had to do was enter a bank account, credit card info, and both have to match the correct address.
