There is too much to read here, sorry if I didn't go through all the messages....... I have sold 10s of thousands of item and with my experiance... if the buyer is smart then he/she could win. There are MANY examples

Example how they could win: Lets say they leave you positive feedback saying: fast shipping! but they also purchased a few other things on the way (doesnt matter from same seller or not). They can say I accidentally left feedback on the wrong item and act like a total bimbo.

You just show to buyers how to fraud sellers.

They would have lost trust me. I had concrete proof that they received the item besides the feedback.

Only if you have tracking numbers.

tracking is not all that matters. If you can prove they are in possession of the item, then you would win the case.

I could prove it because they had taken pictures of it and re-listed it a few days after they left the feedback. The item is a vintage, one of a kind item, with the same exact defects. From the pictures they took in their listing you could prove 100% that it was the same item and a simple phone call to ebay would not only win the case for me as I would explain that to the resolution team member, but it would also put a negative strike on their account for attempting fraud. Trust me, any ebay customer service monkey would even be able to see that they are lying.

I explained that to the buyer, and have not heard back in several weeks.

The buyer was both inept and an idiot to think that this would fly on eB - rip off a seller and sell the same one-of-a-kind item
