@ Sally D best way to get sharpie or other magic/permant marker of boxes and just about any surface is to spray a little hair spray on it. Let it dry then wipe off. It's like it was never there. I handle loads of collectables and sharpie marks are a common thing but easy to deal with if you know how.

Thanks I usually can get it off anything except for cardboard.

I buy tons of stuff in a week with sharpie marks or highlighters on things and usually can get them off but these were done with a permanent marker and I am afraid to try that idea because it might just stain or raise the cardboard area.

Have you done this without messing up the cardboard?

Yes. Lightly spray then let dry wipe off with paper towel or cloth. I've even used this on old comics.

I myself collect stamps. Nobody seems to do that anymore.

Comics, cards are still popular with the young crowd. Stamps are kind of too old school for young crowd but you will get the older crowd. With all the Marvel and DC movies going on, the comics are being repopularized. I also have lost touch because - frankly speaking - I dont find the new cartoons and toys as quality as the old school early 90s and prior...

I still collect stamps. I do coins and stamps of the same country. Not to on sell but to truly collect

Cleaned up my Mom's home in March. She had accumulated so much. I got the First Day covers of stamps for every country she ever had. Majority as new as the day they were franked and posted

The stamp albums are to be shared between us. Considering how much went into their collecting, I expect some fine stamps

I believe it is *cough*....loaded with sexual connotation.....a double entendre of a sort.

Sad really. :(
