Need advice with "professional Buyer"

The buyer purchased one item from me and left a Negative, No email to me nothing. So i researched the buyers ID , and found he has 4 previous purchases from other sellers not me that he has also left negatives, So for me he has only purchased one item and left One negative and to another 4 sellers in his last 4 purchases has done the same

I did report the buyer stating that he has a history of leaving negative feedback , but not sure if that will do anything

My account besides that one negative , has perfect DSRs

Is there any action i can take against this seller, or should i just refund the payment not to bring any unwanted attention to my account??????

rsot 06-12-2013 04:41 AM

Push back - write an e-mail to eBay - point out his feedback - get this guy out of the eB platform

Ok here's the situation I have 30 accounts 6 months - 3 months old , all positive feedback going strong getting limit increases and holds dropped .

Now a month ago I sell an item on one account and receive a negative right away , no email , no case nothing, just a negative feedback from the buyer, so I went and looked at the buyer and he has only 5 buys and gave all sellers negative feedback claiming ⊗⊗⊗⊗ product.

Now it's been 6 weeks since and the account actually received limit increase which I did not expect I was just going to trash it because it had a rating of 6 and 87.5% so after the limits raised ( under 3 month old ) I continued selling and now it's going good built on that with positive feedbacks etc...

So today I finally get a case opened with this guy asking for full refund, now I'd normally of just given his money back only $41 and may of just told him to keep the product but now that I know this is what he does is give negatives to all buyers is there anything I can do or just take the loss??

I'm not worried about the money just would love to do something to get rid of this pro buyer, I already reported him a month ago citing his history of negs and he has done this 3 more times since to me. How long until ebay discovers what he is doing

So should I just take the loss which would normally do anyway or is there anything I could do?

Am I reading correctly?

One buyer stung you three times. Where was Plan B going into action on the second sting?

Never procrastinate with these mothers.

Just never .

At least do something now - Myself, I would not prefer being stung multiple times but at least take some action even if a bit late

GreenBean 06-12-2013 05:10 AM

Now the choice is what to do?

Next time, if something like this happens again, you need to block the buyer after the first neg. I would write an email to EB explaining the situation, and point out that he has done this to other sellers.

Let`s wait to hear from the OP - apparently being screwed by the same buyer 3 times didnt cause an action to be taken :( maybe 5 is the lucky number....?

Relax.

The OP has been edited everything to read correctly.

rsot, my bad on the confusion, GB just straightened me out, and i re wrote my post

Give eBay a phone call, that should do the trick. Have had negatives out of my account before or, you could give a phone call to the buyer and ask him the reason, he probably needs a bribe. If you really want to get the negative out, that must be the way and send him a feedback revision. Remember you can only send 5 forms for every 1000 feedbacks.

Thanks for the clarification Dmshark - lot of options going on - it is wise to act on this buyer and boot him from the site...at least with this username of his

Dmshark25 06-12-2013 12:07 PM

Just got a response from one of the sellers I messaged who also received a negative from this buyer and he said it was over the time frame to report the buyer but had the same things to say of how he was black mailed And received a negative. I messaged 4 sellers who received negatives from this idiot. Hopefully the other 3 will report him. I was the last seller to receive the negative and then the 4 previous sales from 4 different sellers all got a negative

I really don't want to call I feel like I'm the one who will get the boot by calling ebay, I'm probably gonna end up eating this one

rsot 06-13-2013 12:17 PM

Nice use of seller group power - get him outted.

Funny thing is 2 sellers of a product contacted me last night about a non-paying bidder who had bought something of mine....hah

I caved in and refunded the money today. Only one of the other 4 sellers that were also given a negative by this one buyer responded and it was too late for him to act, and no response from the other sellers so I couldn't form my union and was left powerless , I had 2 days until it would of got escalated and didn't want to risk the account over $40 and one negative . As much as I hate that negative it keeps getting further and further away as positives pile on and I'd just hate to get a Manuel review which if probably end up losing and than get this account closed . This account also received limit raises and 21 day holds gone despite the negative

Pasicel 06-13-2013 10:55 PM

I hate people like this.
If I found out they also sold on that account, all hell would break loose.

Dmshark25 06-13-2013 10:59 PM

No they don't , oh yea that was first thing I looked out , but whatever it's part of the game we are pretty much powerless in these situations

Something tells me they have another account they sell on and use this to hurt others.

Since I am the person who coined the phrase "professional buyer" I can tell you this. If I feel a "professional buyer" is trying to scam me or hurt me I do not let them relax. You cannot let them do this and get away with it because they will just keep coming back for more.

Blocking sometimes works but they will have other accounts and keep doing it.

These types of buyers never give up and you should not either.

I always report the buyer, just tell my side of the story. Never contacted me etc. That you looked through their Feedback left for others and they have a history of doing this. It may not get the Feedback removed but it will be noted by eBay and if it continues and other sellers report as well he will be suspended and likely then if not too much time has passed the negatives will be removed. If nothing else you are doing all of us sellers a favor. Most of us on here are tired of dealing with these professional buyers looking to scam you one way or another. Weather it is into a partial refund or trying to send you something extra for free. So sick of these buyers.

mobilecontractsuk 06-14-2013 02:07 PM

Have you tried ebay live chat. I've had a couple of negatives removed. But I think it depends on who you chat to and what mood their in. Always remember to be polite in your messages.
