Default Is this high risked?

I have Beats by Dre Solo HD, and was wondering if that was high risked? It's not ⊗⊗⊗⊗, but it is used. Will I receive the MC99 Error?? :O

ANYTHING with a brand name is considered high risk. Ditto for any item produced by counterfeiters. And combine the two? Double-risky!

Even if you have totally legitimate and authentic items, you could have problems trying to list them. Here is a list of some of the high-risk items to avoid:
  • Box sets of DVD's
  • Disney DVD's
  • Apple ANYTHING
  • Fitness programs advertised on TV
  • Otterbox
  • Designer Purses
  • Bose or Beats by Dre Headphones

The hotter the items, the more the risk. Also considered risky are some non-branded items such as precious gems and expensive jewelry, coins, stamps, etc. This is NOT al all-inclusive list, I've just scratched the surface.

Once and awhile is o.k, but if you plan on trying to list it all the time for profit, then you wont last.

re-read everything, only 1 month old. no way, you wont get away with it

You have a long way to go before listing those items . Those two items are what I'd tell my worst enemy to use when starting their new ebay account

I would not list those on my 10k feedback gold account.

Probably best not to risk it until you get more feedback and your account has aged a bit more.

If that were the case none of that stuff would be for sale on ebay. Op if you list it be very care with item description and condition and you should be just fine. tens of thousands of sellers sell stuff like you with out any problems even fresh new accounts like yours.

I've sold tons of video games, dvds, electronics ect all so called coffin bringers of doom to your account stuff with no hassles what so ever. What brought me down was a basement dweller who bought 14 starwars figures from me who really didn't want to pay for them and who tried to strong armed me for a partial refund(I him told send them back for full no hassle refund.). So he opened up a bunch of cases all of wich were decided in my favor in the resolution center but due to the ass back wards feedback system he was able carpet bomb me with 4 negs and 10 neutral and 14 1 dsrs. all my negs were retailiation from scammers who lost the I wanna keep the item and get all my money back too bs cases. Of course now
buyers can't leave you negative/neutral low dsrs if they lose a case.

OK, I get the fact that sometimes when we say "I can't" it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. Having said that, many people HAVE had problems when listing brand name items, especially those favored by counterfeiters.

I'm glad that what you are doing is working for you. Maybe it is the way you create the accounts, maybe it is the way you write the listing, I don't know. And maybe the newer members could do this and not have problems. But I think that the odds are against it.

For anyone thinking about doing this, I would wait until the account has some positive feedback and history. I would also have some backup accounts in case you lose one. And, if the brand owner takes your listing down, I would either forget it, or if it is real, supply proof to the brand owner and ask for permission to sell it. If you ignore the warning and just re-list, you are asking to have the account banned.

In short, proceed with CAUTION.

One of the first items I sold when starting out was a set of authentic Bose noise cancelling headphones, however I had lots of feedback as a buyer and I took lots of pictures including the bar code on the box and the reciept, even though the reciept had faded and yellowed a little it was hard to read but I still posted it, had no issues whatsoever. That being said if you don't know 110% that these are the real deal, if you didnt purchase them directly from a reputable B&M location or a reputable website like bestbuy etc then don't risk it, if you have the original reciept then I would highly recommend posting it with any personal info blacked out if need be. Same with any other highrisk item, unless you are knowingly wanting to sell knock offs that is, always be able to provide pics to help verify its authenticity, bar codes, serial numbers etc. Otherwise you run the risk of getting shut down.
