| | | Mr2005 | 06-15-2013 10:07 PM | Negative feedback after full refund I have a buyer that is up to something.he is returning an item because It doesn't do a function it was never claimed to do. Once I get it back, and issue a refund, is he able to leave negative feed back?
Also, it cost Asking for an additional $10 for ship pinging cost me $2.00 to send him the item. Do you all refund the buyers shipping back to on returns. |
| Dmshark25 | 06-15-2013 10:10 PM | Yes the buyer can still leave a negative or positive feedback so keep that in mind. I refund everything so that the buyer does not lose one cent on a returned transaction , u want to keep them happy to avoid a negative |
| jeffweico | 06-15-2013 10:18 PM | Yes, they CAN leave a negative even if you refund them.
Yes, I pay for return shipping BUT only at the basic UPS or first class USPS rate. So, if they want to send it FedEx and have someone pick it up and it costs $25 where it should cost $3, then NO, I will not pay for that. |
| Pasicel | 06-15-2013 11:00 PM | Yes he can, so be careful what you say to him.
Keep it professional. |
| GreenBean | 06-15-2013 11:19 PM | Say is the operative word
Have you thought of actually calling him and speaking to him
Never know how that might go
Why his phone might be disconnected...... |

| vogeltron | 06-16-2013 02:18 AM | Only if the item is damaged/defective etc. If the item is exactly described and the buyer fails to read it is on them. I normally have a disclaimer in my listing about that and have a very accurate description along with lots of pictures and a no return policy.
It does depend though. If I was selling low dollar item or ones I shipped First Class mail I probably would refund. But given my listings and the expense of shipping for them. If I make a mistake I always clear it up. But if it isn't on me, buyers remorse etc. Then I am not going to pay for their mistake. |
| mobilecontractsuk | 06-16-2013 06:32 AM | Buyers sometimes leave a negative feedback rating even if they get a full refund including the postage.
I've had a buyer threaten to leave a negative if I did not pay him compensation!!! |

I've had a buyer threaten to leave a negative if I did not pay him compensation!!! | That's extortion - if he does that, you must report the douche to eB and get him out...buyers shouldnt get paid MORE as a compensation refund (relatively speaking of course) |

:nono: |
| Iwuvcurrency | 06-17-2013 07:01 PM | This just happened to me.
I gave full refund.
Still got a negative feedback.
Ive messaged a negative feebacker before, and the person agreed to change it!
Try your hardest to be as nice as possible, even if the situation is their fault..
It helps avoid any neg... |
| stanislav | 06-17-2013 08:45 PM | Someone is demanding me to refund them 30$ for shipping for an item they paid 25$ for. WTF! I told her to send it via First Class Mail. I am sure she did it on purpose. eBay should do something about this nonsense. |
| danshan | 06-18-2013 01:53 AM | do what about it ? Ebay is not shipping it back to you |

| bigboddie | 06-18-2013 11:30 PM | Actually now ebay can ship it back to you with there ebay returns system though I would opt for a bj from a Piranha before opting in for that program. |
| bjammin | 06-19-2013 12:01 AM | Not 100% positive about this comment I am about to make, but I believe it should be true. Before refunding them their money, I would send him a cancel transaction request. Once they confirm canceling the transaction, then i do not believe leaving feedback is an option for them any longer. I am saying the above because you mentioned them maybe pulling a fast one on you. Kissing ass is a good form of protection, but sometimes is not enough.
And for the record, I have usually always sent them a full refund and sometimes even a return shipping label. And sometimes, I let them eat the cost of returns. It depends on the situation with me. If it was my fault, I cover all expenses. If I feel like someone is trying to pull one over on me or just failed to read a description, then I am not so generous. 2 types of people I cannot stand: the inconsiderate and the incompetent. Unfortunately, EB doesn't filter out either, but rather hires both. |
