| | | ontheway | 06-20-2013 05:45 PM | competitor bought item from me but didn't leave correct address Competitor bought one item from me. I know she is one competitor and wonder what I should do, then I look at the postal address, I noticed she didn't leave correct address, no house number, only street name.
What should I do? |
| JamesNorth101 | 06-20-2013 05:50 PM | What I have done in the past in this situation, if I know for a fact they will try to leave a neg feedback, is invoice for a very high amount, and then when they don't pay it issue an item strike. This then prevents them from leaving neg feedback, or if they already have left it, it removes it. Again, I only do this if I am 100% sure they are doing it to leave neg feedback. |
| ontheway | 06-20-2013 06:16 PM | How to invoice high amount? She bought and paid it immediately. Now it's waiting for me to post, then I noticed the address is not correct. |
I'm sure you can use her "incorrect" address against them. Send them an email or message something like:
"Hello fellow competitor, thank you for your purchase. I notice that the shipping address is incorrect, please correct this error so I may ship the same items you sell as well to you, Have a wonderful day" |

??? |
| bigboddie | 06-20-2013 08:44 PM | As long as you have tracking and the package comes back undeliverable your in the clear. |
| stanislav | 06-20-2013 08:48 PM | I don't think it is possible. JamesNorth101 is probably a newbie. |
| Dmshark25 | 06-20-2013 09:23 PM | Yea once the item is won in auction an automated email is sent to the buyer with the price they need to pay with a link they can push to buy the item .
You can't change the price after the item is bid on, No Way |
| BigCJ | 06-20-2013 09:50 PM | Print the label out and mail the package.
Leave the return address as your stealth address.
If it wont print, shoot an email to ebay to alert them that the address is incorrect and that you feel the person has a false address.
You still have to follow your P's and Q's like she was a normal customer
try to contact them for the correction in address and inform them that you will be contacting ebay about the error for yours as well as her own protection against fraud and possible issues with the transaction. |
| Pasicel | 06-21-2013 02:03 AM | The only way i know its a competitor is if they're selling the same item, which by then i already bought a couple of their cheapest product, leave me 1 negative, ill leave you a couple. |
| steve70000 | 06-21-2013 02:42 AM | is the paypal and the ebay address the same with no number just the street address.
send it then say it got returned to you and inform ebay.. |

If they have already paid, then have a look on there PayPal account and see if there is a different and correct postal address present there. Then send the item recorded to that address. |
| GreenBean | 06-21-2013 06:12 AM | What about the invoice bit though. Enquiring minds etc etc
.???? ;) |
If you WERE able to invoice the buyer, yes you can enter an outrageous shipping fee - buyer will complain - you can still get a negative if the buyer wants to leave it however....
I know this because I accidentally entered a 50$ shipping fee 3 months ago on an invoice when it was 5$. The buyer actually paid it...ugh...and then complained about the fee and left a negative. I shipped out and explained to him that I would refund the difference (rather than calling him an idi*t for paying it). I sent him a feedback revision request and he promptly fixed the neg to positive :) |

You can't change the price after the item is bid on, No Way | The other guys did not talk about changing the price of the item, they talked about the shipping cost. Once a auction ends, or you buy something in BIN, the final price is final. Cant change that.
You can you send a new invoice to people with any amount in the shipping cost. If you state the shipping cost at $3.99, ebay will send a invoice with that amount in the shipping cost but you can send a new invoice with higher shipping cost in case the buyer(s) wants a faster or different shipping method.
Or you can screw with people with higher shipping cost, they pay the higher cost and it means higher profit for you, **BUT you will have a much higher chance of getting a negative so its not worth it. Most people will catch the higher shipping cost and message you about it.
All of this has to be made before the buyer(s) pays for the item. Once the buyer(s) pays for the item, all of this is voided. If you the buyer(s) pays for the item and wants a different shipping method then they will have to send you more money via paypal only.
**adding this--I have done the same like rsot has done, it was a mistake and corrected later on. People make mistakes. |
| ontheway | 06-21-2013 02:43 PM | Can I send email to her, saying I know you are selling the same item I am selling, I don't think you are a real buyer and will refund it to you. That will make it worse? |

But if they were a competitor who you are sure would do this anyway, if you invoice for a very very high shipping cost, and then they don't pay it (which they are very unlikely to) you can open and unpaid item dispute. Inevitably an unpaid item strike would be issues, that then removes any neg feedback left by the buyer.
So you have a neg feedback on your account for a week, but after that it is removed and the competitor is left with an unpaid item strike on their account.
Of course this does not work if they pay right away, as in this case. Quote:

| yotano211 | 06-21-2013 04:44 PM | But the problem is that the buyer already paid for the item. Only thing to do is to make up an excuse for something on not shipping it out, make it believable. |
| ontheway | 06-24-2013 10:06 PM | OK. I made an excuse and said item damaged, and issued refund to her immediately, then blocked this buyer. She replied to me said she would like to change to other item and buy it. After a few hours, ebay removed my shop listing. I think she report me to ebay. |
| BigCJ | 06-24-2013 11:03 PM | She seems hell bent on testing you. |

What's this meaning? I really have no idea how to deal with it. At the same time, she go to buy from my other two account, I think she come to buy just because it's same category item. One is for BIN, she bought and paid again, the other one is on bidding, I noticed it's her before bidding ending, so I cancelled her bidding, other buyer got it.
She is crazy, what can I do? It seems none account I can sell this category items.
:confused::s |
| ontheway | 06-25-2013 08:41 AM | If I report her, it's still none help on my selling. |

| JamesNorth101 | 06-25-2013 10:29 AM | Seems like you have an eBay stalker there. Just keep her ID blocked and keep an eye for her popping up on other stealths. |
| slapped | 06-25-2013 10:33 AM | If you KNEW that the Address was not good why didn't you simply ship out an empty box with an incorrect RETURN address, (To the same General area as your real location) as well, with tracking information, of Course, then when the Shipment was "Mysteriously" lost, take the Position with BOTH The Buyer and Ebay that the Buyer provided you with a BOGUS address, causing you to Lose the product and that you were unwilling to risk another shipment on such a Buyer, and of course Block the Buyer along the way |
| ontheway | 06-25-2013 12:04 PM | Yes, when ebay removed my listing, I got MC warning. |
| ontheway | 06-25-2013 12:06 PM | The 2nd time she buy, she left correct addresss. I did have blocked her now but I can feel she is keeping looking at my other account to see if she can buy or she can report. |
| newjerseymax | 06-25-2013 01:06 PM | I have bought from competitor before when I made a mistake on my stock. I needed a replacement. If the address was incorrect then genrally you would think its the buyers issue. However I can say for sure that is not always the case.
I recently let a dispute be decided by ebay because the buyer made a "mistake" at checkout with the address. Item was "undeliverable" and on top I lost case because buyer filed 'item not received case'. Within the case she admitted to the mistake and I still lost. |
| newjerseymax | 06-25-2013 01:08 PM | If she is a seller then she is playing high risk messing with another seller from her main account. I could do so much damage she wished she never heard of ebay. |

Amen to that,,I could come up with a thing or two myself that would Rock her LITTLE world |
| jeffweico | 06-26-2013 12:37 AM | It is very rare that a competitor gets under my skin, but when they do, I always push back. Not using my account, of course.
But these morons eventually get shut down anyway. Amazon, eBay, PayPal and most companies run mostly on automated processes. When a human being has to intervene, it gets expensive for them. When this person costs them enough time and money, they will get rid of their account.
A friend of mine was never happy with ANY cellular phone service. Not Sprint, T-Mobile, Virgin or any others. He made so many complaint calls to Verizon, they sent him a letter stating his account was going to be closed in 30 days and basically to take his business elsewhere.
Legitimate complaints are one thing, but if eBay has to deal with this person over and over, eventually they will see it for what it is. |

Soon as you have a problem you take action.
Wrong or incorrect address? Either contact the buyer for details or since you already thought it was a competitor, TELL ebay or better still tell paypal.
Hey I have a buyer whose address does not exist. What can I do?
Make your listings Immediate paypal required. Set your bidders to block undesirables.
Take action.
You control the sales or you let the buyer walk all over you. |
| ontheway | 06-26-2013 06:53 AM | She keep looking at all my accounts and keep report me. I guess she know it's me by items location or to see if I block her or not. She is totally like a mad person.
I contact ebay and ask them why they remove my listing, it's brand item. The guy told me I can relist it if I provide a picture with a receipt then buyer can't have excuse to report me... |
