Post competitor bought item from me but didn't leave correct address

Competitor bought one item from me. I know she is one competitor and wonder what I should do, then I look at the postal address, I noticed she didn't leave correct address, no house number, only street name.
What should I do?

What I have done in the past in this situation, if I know for a fact they will try to leave a neg feedback, is invoice for a very high amount, and then when they don't pay it issue an item strike. This then prevents them from leaving neg feedback, or if they already have left it, it removes it. Again, I only do this if I am 100% sure they are doing it to leave neg feedback.

How to invoice high amount? She bought and paid it immediately. Now it's waiting for me to post, then I noticed the address is not correct.

I'm sure you can use her "incorrect" address against them. Send them an email or message something like:

"Hello fellow competitor, thank you for your purchase. I notice that the shipping address is incorrect, please correct this error so I may ship the same items you sell as well to you, Have a wonderful day"

Is that possible? Even if it is, what is to stop that buyer by calling ebay and saying I purchased x item for 9.99 plus free shipping. I received an invoice that included a 90$ handling fee?!?!

???

I don't think it is possible. JamesNorth101 is probably a newbie.

Yea once the item is won in auction an automated email is sent to the buyer with the price they need to pay with a link they can push to buy the item .

You can't change the price after the item is bid on, No Way

Print the label out and mail the package.

Leave the return address as your stealth address.

If it wont print, shoot an email to ebay to alert them that the address is incorrect and that you feel the person has a false address.

You still have to follow your P's and Q's like she was a normal customer

try to contact them for the correction in address and inform them that you will be contacting ebay about the error for yours as well as her own protection against fraud and possible issues with the transaction.

It is without a doubt possible, at least in the UK. Far from a newbie.

If they have already paid, then have a look on there PayPal account and see if there is a different and correct postal address present there. Then send the item recorded to that address.

If you WERE able to invoice the buyer, yes you can enter an outrageous shipping fee - buyer will complain - you can still get a negative if the buyer wants to leave it however....

I know this because I accidentally entered a 50$ shipping fee 3 months ago on an invoice when it was 5$. The buyer actually paid it...ugh...and then complained about the fee and left a negative. I shipped out and explained to him that I would refund the difference (rather than calling him an idi*t for paying it). I sent him a feedback revision request and he promptly fixed the neg to positive

The other guys did not talk about changing the price of the item, they talked about the shipping cost. Once a auction ends, or you buy something in BIN, the final price is final. Cant change that.

You can you send a new invoice to people with any amount in the shipping cost. If you state the shipping cost at $3.99, ebay will send a invoice with that amount in the shipping cost but you can send a new invoice with higher shipping cost in case the buyer(s) wants a faster or different shipping method.

Or you can screw with people with higher shipping cost, they pay the higher cost and it means higher profit for you, **BUT you will have a much higher chance of getting a negative so its not worth it. Most people will catch the higher shipping cost and message you about it.

All of this has to be made before the buyer(s) pays for the item. Once the buyer(s) pays for the item, all of this is voided. If you the buyer(s) pays for the item and wants a different shipping method then they will have to send you more money via paypal only.

**adding this--I have done the same like rsot has done, it was a mistake and corrected later on. People make mistakes.

Can I send email to her, saying I know you are selling the same item I am selling, I don't think you are a real buyer and will refund it to you. That will make it worse?

You can still get a negative feedback. Just make an excuse that the item came damaged from the supplier and it will take many weeks to replace it. It works for me.

The point I was getting as is yes they would complain, and yes they would leave a neg feedback. But if they were a competitor who you are sure would do this anyway, if you invoice for a very very high shipping cost, and then they don't pay it (which they are very unlikely to) you can open and unpaid item dispute. Inevitably an unpaid item strike would be issues, that then removes any neg feedback left by the buyer.

So you have a neg feedback on your account for a week, but after that it is removed and the competitor is left with an unpaid item strike on their account.

Of course this does not work if they pay right away, as in this case.

Some people can be beyond daft sometimes.

But the problem is that the buyer already paid for the item. Only thing to do is to make up an excuse for something on not shipping it out, make it believable.

OK. I made an excuse and said item damaged, and issued refund to her immediately, then blocked this buyer. She replied to me said she would like to change to other item and buy it. After a few hours, ebay removed my shop listing. I think she report me to ebay.
