Origin Scans - USPS

OKKKKKKKKKKKK so, what i have figured out is that its not that the post offices are just flat out NOT origin scanning your packages......its that................they don't have the tracking numbers yet.

when you have a USPS tracking number USPS created it, so its in the system waiting to be scanned at any time.

our stuff is generated on the fly by pitney bowes, so pitney has to transmit its created tracking numbers over to the USPS servers and then they know the number exsists.

this seems to take about 3 to 6 hours because i've taken a fresh package directly to the counter and the clerk tried to scan it.. and ERROR, no code.

and i've done this enough that i have found that after A WHILE, your packages will accept scans, to early.. ERROR.

I have noticed lately that if I create a label at night, about 10 hours later, there is an update that the local post office received the info, I've never seen this before recently

USPS really needs to update their tracking software and machines. UPS and Fedex have much better tracking system, even DHL is better. When I sign for a package, the USPS system doesn't update for many many hours, UPS-Fedex-DHL takes 10-15 min.

Usps does not need to do anything as long as they use government bail out money to pay to send my packages they can do whatever they want

take allllll the time you want updating scans, you are well below all the others in price!
