Default item views (and sales) have serious dropped from the 15th of june?

I was wondering if anyone experienced the same. According to my eBay traffic reports, my "page views" were around 30-40 per day from June 1st to June 15th. Then suddenly, on June 15th, all the page views dropped down to only about 5-6 where it has stayed ever since.

I sell mainly women's clothing, so I thought it might be due to the summer, people getting out more, etc. But I also thought it could be due to the new eBay search (Cassini) rolling out sometime this month. eBay hasn't announced when it has rolled out, the specific day, but it's live now.

I don't know anything about Cassini, but sales in summer always drop for me, usually in the beginning of June and then they pick up again in September. Summer is always the worst time of the year for online sales in MOST categories. Of course, there are exceptions - sellers of swimsuits should be doing very well at the moment.

Traditionally in all walks of retail, sales dip after the 15th of April, start to go up near the start of May and kind of go into a lull in the summer months.
When school is back end of August/early September sales tend to move up until the buying trends of the holidays.

Of course if a product is summer themed then it would not fall under these guidelines.

Might just be that then. It's just strange that the views seem like they dropped off a cliff around the 15th of June.

Reports from elsewhere of the same for sellers.

Some are working out the wonders of Cassini.

Can not understand but there is a feeling Cassini is not great.

Why would that be?

that your search result views get thrown for a loop when they update/upgrade hosting servers and it takes a few days for all the listings to get organized again, and that's why sudden spikes up or down in your page views happen on eBay

I've been checking the competition and their sales appear to be equally horrible. I sell a product (long women's pants) that no mentally sane person would wear during the summer heat, so I assume that would be the reason for my sales drop.

I didn't have to deal with this last year as I was selling an "all year around" product for several years, but I switched products around December 2012 and I guess I didn't think of that.

I'm having better sales in the UK (4-5 per day) than in the US (0-1 per day), so I guess the weather must be cooler in the UK? Haha.

July starting off great for me as well. But while shipping printing, got a mc999 email and almost had an attack since it was to my top stealth account. Turn out they raise my limit to 1350-11500. Wish they raise my other accounts.
