| ApplesAndBananas | 07-29-2013 11:06 PM | Aww man I didn't want to anger the buyers lol... when will I get the hammer
:( |
@AppleandBananas, You really should just get another item to sell, preferably a physical item and not digital. |
| ApplesAndBananas | 08-04-2013 02:05 PM | Alright fellas, got another problem, so in my listing I provided some pics of proof on how my items work. Now after some searching I found out that someone made the EXACT same listing of mine, used my exact pics that I made, and a description that is the same thing as mine. And he made his items cheaper, do I just leave it since I don't want attention if I report him, or just report him and know that eBay wont bother me |
| An0nym0u$ | 08-04-2013 03:21 PM | To me, drawing attention to your account means calling up eBay and putting your account in front of human eyes w/ someone who is a "mouse click" away from causing issues w/ your account.
You can choose the option to report the seller as this does fall under "infringes intellectual property" section of the complaint. I highly doubt this would draw attention to your account (unless you're reporting every listing out there!).
BUT you should also take steps to avoiding future issues like this by...
1. take pictures w/ watermark OR write your ebay name on a paper and take the picture w/ your ebay name. they can still steal your pic and photoshop it out, but most ppl are lazy and would just move onto another picture that doesnt have an ebay name.
2. you can disable the "right click" button on your page if you know html code.
in the ebay listing, it gives you the option to create using standard format or switching to html code. you can first create your listing w/ standard format and when finished, switch to html code. at the very bottom of the code, just cut and paste the option to disable right click button.... No Copy and Paste Script
there are still ways to bypass this if a person wants to view the source code of your page...but again, alot of ppl dont know how to and won't waste their time with your listing and will move onto someone else's. |
| ApplesAndBananas | 08-04-2013 05:39 PM | Wow thanks! Now I looked up that when you report someone for that, they will ask you for your listing to prove that they copied you, is this true? |

Is it worth it to report the person but risk attention to your account?
My advice to you is to just let it go but fix your listings going forward using the methods I mentioned earlier. Best of luck w/ your decision. |

Get few backup accounts going and rotate sales to lessen the risk |

Get few backup accounts going and rotate sales to lessen the risk | I really want to but I am not on stealth and don't plan to be due to my limited amount of resources, so I will just ignore since its not worth it haha |
Ignoring stealth? Not the wisest approach |

| ApplesAndBananas | 08-18-2013 11:50 PM | Guys! So I have a selling limit of 100 items, this douche (probably my competitor) bought out 11 of my items and ended my listing, which now I have to start up again to gain popularity, I opened my unpaid item case and got my final value fee credit, BUT I didn't get the amount of items he bought credited back toward my limit?! Why and how do I prevent this?! |

Why and how do I prevent this?! | You can't really until your limits reset but the unpaid item case will work against him so he's only black marking his own account unless of course your competitor is using stealth like us! Another reason why you should start learning stealth!
You should also seriously consider the advice many on here have given you and that is to move away from what is a highly competitive and risky item that's only working against you (especially as your account seems quite new and limited) and wont earn you much money!
If you want to be successful at eBay or Amazon then start learning to do what the successful people on here do and have already prob gone though the same mistakes and more that you are now making.
Also have you considered looking at Aspkins SFB (six figure boss)? That's a guide that will help you to earn a serious online income if you put the effort in to learn and apply what's written there! | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 03:42 AM. | |
