At any rate my mom recently lost her job so I offered to let her try her hand with ebay, she wasnt sure she could do it since she's not too computer literate so I told her she could use my other account and try it for a few weeks and if she thought she could do it then we'd set her up with her own account and paypal. We listed her first item and discovered that the account has been hit with a selling limit of 12 items per month or $500 per month!
I'm kinda suprised, given the accounts age and that its in good standing I wasn't expecting it to be limited, this was always going to be my backup account if something happened to my powerseller account. I'm glad I discovered the limits before I needed to use it for myself. So I guess ebay is imposing limits when no selling activity occurs for a while even on aged accounts. I certainly didnt expect a 13 yo account to be hit with limits, and not ones this low. Anyone know what the time frame is for ebay to reinstate limits? Hopefully they will be increased again soon but Im gonna have to make sure not to let it lapse back to being limited in the future. |
