eBaY members & feedback extortion

Whats the point of ebay having a feedback extortion policy when they do not do anything when someone violates the policy?

I have had 2 threats in less than 10 months whereby i have to apparently offer a refund up front or else i will get a negative feedback.

Another was because i did not supply a installation guide in French and offer remote help with installation of the product on a Sunday.

But when a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ VeRo member contacts ebay to tell them they know your item is counterfeit or some other made up rubbish, ebay take action instantly.

Unfortunately, ebay wants people to call them.
Not really going to fly in my book.

So unless they get numerous reports (even then) they wont even look into the matter.

Vero members put in big bucks. They are verified to the teeth and are solid in ebays book.

Are you sure vero members put in big bucks? i once enquired to become a vero member as a particular product i was going to sell would make me the only UK authorized dealer of this product but ebay simply mentioned i need to give the proof that i am a dealer acting on behalf of the manufacturer.....

I could make this stuff up which i know for a fact a lot of members do just so they can boost their own sales.

They usually are and do put in huge amounts.

Things like this are verified by ebay. They want a long term relationship with these members offering exclusives.

You may be able to skirt by at first with making stuff up, but if you want to keep being a vero member, you will have to pony up legal jargon and larger sums. Anyone can say that they are the rights owner. Ebay feels that its their job to research it and validate the claims.

I dont know, i was replying to all his messages instantly on my phone while i was out and mentioned i can help you install remotely between monday-friday but he said hes never around any time during this time. I offered to help late at night during these days but he wasnt having it. He wanted help on sunday and was not happy i could not do it. You know how it is 1 in every 100 sales you will get 1 tool.
