Policy Violations

You used to be able to view a list of all your policy violations in your seller dashboard. But i cant seem to find it there anymore.Do you know where i could access it?

It was removed back in August/September. You also cannot appeal for account reinstatement. There was an overhaul they did which eliminated these features.

Yea, unfortunately they have got rid of the part of the Seller dashboard that allows you to view your policy compliance rating.

a 7 day ban = Low

First time with no ban = Mediam

if you get the 30 day ban and you need to let your account rest for 6 months then you need to make note of the date of your 30 day suspention and count 6-7 months from that date before using the account again

I got three:

Quote:

MC999 Listing policy violation alert: Beta Software - 31.10.2013
MC999 Listing policy violation alert: Beta Software - 16.12.2013
MC999 Listing policy violation alert: Beta Software - 26.12.2013 (and restricted selling rights for 7 days)
So currently this is the 3rd time = Low = 7 days restricted. Then on the next time should be "Very Low" = 30 days restricted, and then perm suspension as far as I understand from BananaMan's post.

So the only option is to manually count the e-mails and to mark them with a star or with some tag in order to know the dates, and copy them into another folder.

As far as I know from the past (2011) the cool-down period was 90 days in order to expire the policy violation. So for example my 1st policy violation will automatically expire on 30.01.2014 (or Jan 30, 2014). Not 180 days/6 months.

---

Now check your e-mails into your inbox and see and calculate when your first policy violation will expire (90 days + 1 day to be sure).

Re: Policy Violations

When I received the 30 days ban, I was actually able to keep selling and list/re-list items. Those greedy mother flowers just wanted me to make more money for
them before they got rid of me. I am pretty sure they already decided to kick me out once they initiated the 30 days ban. I got suspended few weeks later.
If I had known I would have stopped selling after getting that warning, as advised in this thread, but I don't even think it would make any difference for the long run. Wish I would have found this forum two years ago.

On one account, I have 4xTrademark Violations since January this year.

Only had to take the Vero questionaire so far.

Anybody has any experience with TM Violations?

I got one from General Motors over something so petty. In fact it was part of a giveaway for children with disabilities. I have been contacting every GM dept. and they are pretty useless. Trying to contact their law offices is like trying to get the vero dept. on the phone... I am still trying though. They are about to lose a family of lifelong GM vehicle owners over $150...

I just realized you said Jan. "this year"... Damm thats not a good look. Did you get hit with all at once? Maybe time to put new products on that account for a while?

They came like 1 every 2 weeks or so.

What was taken down, I did not re-list on that account.

I just started dealing with Brand Owners, and as the OP, I was also clueless were the policy violations feature went from the Seller Dashboard.

Account is aged (3+ years)

That is a very weird situation - is it something very rare? Or other trademark too?

Well we had some left over RC Hummers that the kids never claimed so we threw them on eBay. Low and behold they were not licensed by GM so I got a TM violation from GM themselves. Explained everything to them, got only one response from the lawyer and boy was she rude. They were all rude to be honest. Not giving up yet though...

Yes sir, bought them from a local wholesaler. I don't know, I guess I should have been more careful but never in a million years did I expect GM to mess with me over a couple hundred dollars at most. I mean I am sure a lot of my tax money contributed to their bailout, so they should really be thanking me...
