it is different account to account. 3 months isn't a rule set in stone, ive had accounts go to 100/5000 in a short time while others are stuck at 10/1000

Ok, that's good. I just figured out what that "technical issue" was for me. It was like one of my early stealths that I aged since oct, and I probably entered my phone number wrong off by one digit, therefore they can't send text. They even tried calling me and couldn't reach me. I called them, sorted everything out. In the end, no mc999 for me. These guys that keep reporting their mc999 keeps scaring the hell out of me. Lol.

Op, did you age your accounts?

Yeah, those MC999 posts scared me too. Glad you had time to clear the air.

Re: ebay raise limit not working / ebay getting strict?

I have created 2 new stealth accounts in the past 2 weeks. I waited about 3-4 days to start selling on one and the other i sold an item right away. One account got a 10-1000 limit and must verify the ID to increase Limit and the other account that i waited a few days got 100-5000 on my first item i put up for sale I never even got the 10-1000 limit, they didn't ask to verify anything.

Not sure if that was luck or if something I did allowed that limit increase.

anyone else ever start out with 100-5000?

Yes, these tend to happen quite randomly. Even if there is some kind of algorithm (which I believe there is) that triggers the system to lift your starting limit, no one on here will share that in public.

Re: ebay raise limit not working / ebay getting strict?

I heard someone set up 10 stealth accounts and half of them got hit with the MC999. The accounts that got hit were ones that had 10 USED items sold in a short period of time and soon after received the MC999.

Lesson learned is to maybe wait a good amount of time before listing anything. How does someone go about calling eBay without raising suspicion with the number in the caller ID? I've had eBay "call me" but this alone might be a suspicions request I would think, any input is greatly appreciated.

Random limit raising but need to sell to your max limits every month and keep building

Re: ebay raise limit not working / ebay getting strict?

ok i would like to add my thoughts on this issue as well and its up to you guys to believe me or not. now i dont want anyone to get ideas that i am disagreeing with anyone here...but this is what i do now.

i hope i can help you guys out since i have been experimenting on my own. i have been making accounts and 3 days after i have been listing vero items, paypals are NOT fully verified. i sold 5 items that are vero and 5 digital. i was able to do this on about 5-7 accounts the past 40 days and only one account had been limited which $200 were held.

i really stopped building up accounts because i found it to be time wasting in my opinion...people are not complaing like before and believe it or not...when you have an established account you get more complaints.

i love new accounts due to the reason of people not thinking you are a big seller (makes scammers run away). logically speaking if you were selling 1k pieces and im selling 5, who do you think the scammer will go after?

anyways i hope no one misunderstands but i felt like sharing my ways and how it works out with me. like i said, this isnt the right way or the wrong way...lets just say this is my setup.

good day

I never list 10 items right out of the gate.

You are suppose to be new and not be able to list 10 items in a row on a brand new account.

I am going to list one single item on an account I made yesterday. It will be a used non risky item and once I sell it and ship it I will leave it rest for a few weeks.

No way would I list 10 items right off on a new account.

Sandy D has laid the platform on how to start up new accounts, successfully. Whether you want to go through the trouble of starting it up yourself or pay for one, the name of the game now is volume in accounts. Dont put all your eggs in one basket.

I agree. I have 50 new accounts at the moment and I wait to pass 30+ days to list a cheap used item then wait for the auction end, leave feedback. Wait a few days to week then list another non VERO item. Everything is ok now.
