ebay raise limit not working / ebay getting strict?
 

So I was helping my friend setup an ebay account in his real information and when he tried to raise limit by click on "Confirm your information/ or raise your selling limit" , it says we could not verify you at this time but we saved all changes to the account", shouldn't take you to that page where it asks for you public information? its not working, my friend, brother, wife and me tried it , its not working, any one know why?

Also, I tried to open several stealth accounts but everytime now ebay removes all selling limit and asks to call them and when I do, they say since we can not verify your information I have to send in my drivers license and a bill. WTF what that, it used to be call us with in 48 hours and you call them, they ask you couple of stupid questions like how do you ship and whats not and then the ebay account is active, Now non of that is working. Anyone?????

I think you need to establish some type of selling history before it will work now.

It used to be instant questions.

Rocketman! Did you follow the stealth method in making account? Please read the stealth guide thoroughly...Here what you should do when you make the stealth acc. for the first time:

1 - create browsing history
2 - buy few items
3 - wait at least 30 days to list something
4 - IMPORTANTLY list non VeRo items (used house holds/books/etc.

ebay have thrown a newish MC999 for new accounts.

They are making it more difficult to actually kick start selling.

Have you had any MC999 ?

Yeh, it seems like every account I create now and try to sell home items, i get MC999 and my selling limit goes to 0 dollars and they say to verfiy my information and when I do so, it wont work since its a stealth account so they ask for DL and bill in my name.

well logicly as a new ebay seller, i listed one item for 10 bucks, i get that 1099, even if you dont list anything, you just create an ebay account as a seller you will get a 1099. when is aspkin going to make a new ebaystealth because the old ways dont work no more.

Mm78, have u activated an account very recently. I hope that technical issue that I got isn't going to be an ongoing thing

I leave all accounts over 30 days before listing anything. I've automatically requested a limit increase from 10/£650 on every account, eBay checks with PayPal to make sure you've verified your bank then upgrades to 25/£750 on every occasion, no issues.

I sell on 2-3 brand new of my own accounts each and every week and never get the listing mc999 on any of them.

If you are getting these over and over it is something you are doing.

I run 15-20 accounts per week and rotate to a new set of 15-20 and have no lost a single one of my own seller accounts for 3+ years now.

The US rules are different than the UK.

yes, us rules are if you can confirm identity then limits go to 100/5000. nearly impossible to confirm a stealth account though

I just made 10 stealths 3 days ago, so far no issues. I've listed on 5 of them without any MC999 or anything.

Just as a test today which is my normal listing day.

I listed 2 used items on 2 accounts I made yesterday.

I listed 2 used items on an account that is a week old.

1 listed 2 used items on an account that is 30 days old.

No issues on any of them so far.

No issues here either, listed first item within less than a month and everything is running smooth :ranger:

Ok, that's good. I just figured out what that "technical issue" was for me. It was like one of my early stealths that I aged since oct, and I probably entered my phone number wrong off by one digit, therefore they can't send text. They even tried calling me and couldn't reach me. I called them, sorted everything out. In the end, no mc999 for me. These guys that keep reporting their mc999 keeps scaring the hell out of me. Lol.

have had no problem with my new accounts in uk, but limit is only 10 for first month

THE NEW Mc999 is a random normal toss a dart typical ebay thing.

Ebay says, today lets toss a dart at a few new accounts and see what happens.

Typical ebay to never do anything the same way.


The NEW MC999

I am the one who started calling it the NEW MC999 so members would understand their is a difference. The NEW MC999 happens before you list an item and is randomly done by ebay. The NEW mc999 is NOT like the other MC999 after you list an item etc. Some are having a hard time understanding this so I thought I would toss it out so people would now.

i have similar problem,ebay are not increasing my limit from 10 items every month,i have used the account for 4 months.i dont want to request a limit increase in case they want to verify the address

is your account set to a business account ? or still private ? maybe a reason

are you using your full limit ?


one of my account got selling limit lifted to 25 items in 4 hours when I changed it to a business account

I have 3 months old US account and same thing. The limit is 10/1000. And Yes I'm using the full selling limit.
On the previous accounts I had they would raise the limit after month or eventually after two months. Are they getting strict or is different from account to account?
