Is eBay not letting anyone sell?

I tried to list some items yesterday, but for some reason it wouldn’t let me. When I go to browse categories for my listing, it keeps saying "page not responding" and it asks to try again in ten to fifth teen minutes. Every time I try it says the same thing. Has anyone else received this problem?

samueladams 09-12-2008 11:05 AM

did that for a short while yesterday when I was trying to list with a new account and do the phone verify...seems to be working fine now got 3 things up

I tried again this afternoon and it did the same thing

Either the problem was/is with ebay's servers or your internet connection.

The problem is firefox. Not java. It's firefox.

rollinj 11-23-2008 10:26 PM

I was using FireFox from Hungary a few weeks ago. And I noticed a similar occurrence. ONLY when I was searching for keywords listed in the auction listing's body, however.

(If I clicked that option box directly below the search box on the search page.. it wouldn't let me search and the same page came up.)

I was also searching for some fairly conspicuous terms as well... Maybe that's what triggered it?

I agree firefox can be a problem at times.

Run this: The W3C Markup Validation Service

on eBay's pages or copy and paste their source code and put in there. It'll explain everything.
