Those of you with 5+ stealth accounts.

Those of you with more than 5 ebay stealth accounts. How many of those accounts have been upgraded to business accounts?

Currently mine are personal accounts, I'm not sure if i should attempt to upgrade them to business accounts.

Do share your experiences.

Why are you asking?

Whatever your need or preference is, just do that.

There is no huge difference

Re: Those of you with 5+ stealth accounts.

Depends what you want from the account.

If you want to get TRS, then you need to be business.

If you do not want that, then does not make a huge amount of difference. Personally I have most my 400+ feedback accounts with over 300 selling limits as business purely because I like the to get TSR and the 15% discount that comes with it.

Re: Those of you with 5+ stealth accounts.

and if you are a business then you should be acting like one especially with the way eBay and PayPal run, bit strange running as personal if you're clearly a business...

Its more to do with selling limits.

Are business accounts under more scrutiny in general?

You do not get an automatic increase just because you swap to a business account. Limits will remain the same as a personal account.

a.v.limited 02-25-2014 01:12 PM

Re: Those of you with 5+ stealth accounts.

limits are raised in time, some people saying 4-5 months down the line

Re: Those of you with 5+ stealth accounts.

For some reason people think changing to a business gets you automatic raises.

It does NOT.

Your performance no matter business or personal gets you raises.

I have 100s of accounts up and running and half are business and half are not growing into a business account.

I get the same raises on both types of accounts based on how I operate my accounts.

Ex

Accounts made in June 2013

Personal 10-1000
Business 10-1000

Today

Personal 450-5000
Business 300-3000

Same type of items sold, within 10 feedback of each other and yet the personal account received much higher and quicker raises.

They will never be the same.

I got 4 TRS and none of them are business.

Nope, European account. I don't want to say what country.

The TSR rules differ from country to country. In the UK it needs to be a businesses account

Do your personal accounts typically get shut down after you reach the $20K in sales mark (due to not being able to provide an EIN in lieu of a SSN)--or do you find you are able to ask PP for alternate methods of verification?

The $20k/100 item rules only applies to the US. Other countries dont have EIN or SSN's. Each country in the world is different. US tax rules dont apply to other countries.

The beauty of having multiple accounts is that you AVOID hitting the max limits on accounts and being asked for ID (if you sell smartly)

I did 1, then 10 after 2 weeks time frame. Now it's been a year! I am going to get 34 more and have 45 running all at the same time. Then I'm going to hold it for 6 months let them run and add more products. I am just one man and the wife doesn't want to do anything. Keeps talking about making money online but is out in space more then half the time! lol

So I am just solo and I enjoy it. Cause I started with only $2k years ago and now I get so much in return it's nuts! And been wanting to do this since 2003! Finally started it so YAY YAY!

Like a 12 yr old, happy as can be!

Look at the DSR's. I noticed if the DSR's are near perfect the increases are quicker and larger.

I have a dozen stealths. And I noticed the accounts with higher feedback within 90 days get higher limits then those with lower feedback.

That's how it goes. I've normally called in on all my stealths to get higher limits. I only got turned down by 1 rep and didn't offer it but after 2 months it went up on it's own anyways.

Really depends on who you get I guess. I normally am a good talker but this guy was just a D*CK! Putting me down and all. I should of just asked for manager but I didn't care as I got more accounts lol.

I have 100s of accounts and get usually a raise on them all over time.

Even have a nice stack of no limit accounts.

I dont have a single account with less then 100% and nothing ever hits below 4.9. 99% are all 5.0s.

Once in a while you hit that one customer who nails you once in a while.

I also have several accounts with 2000-4000 item limits that are only a year or so old.

Work hard and you will see your accounts grow quickly.

Re: Those of you with 5+ stealth accounts.

I prefer business accounts in general. I found ebay to take my US accounts a little more seriously than my personal accounts.

I recently received a polite email (100% legit) from a euro ebay rep markeplace asking me for additional details about the business and sharing some complaints from competitors that I needed to address. Much nicer than getting a MC999.

Are you saying if you keep hitting your selling limits, ebay will ask for ID? If so, what for?

I think he means USA accounts.

Unless paypal wants to raise limits and ask for 2 proofs of ID.

I did that and they raised my limits to UNLIMITED!

Probably talking about PayPal and the Tax ID request if you hit a certain sales amount or transaction amount here in the US. Although it doesn't necessarily effect you eBay account. It is a roadblock due to the lack of payment providers eBay allows now.
