Am i the only one who recently just learnt that you can be transfered in ebay chat that you dont have to chat with those reps that say so much but nothing at the same time?

Ebay actually has a half decent customer service i always thought they had none but as of late when i was having problems with my account i was transferred to ebay security department and they were able to help me on the chat, something i have NEVER experienced before. Im to the point where as soon as it connects i ask to be transferred.

You were transferred to Security or Trust & Safety?
I have always been told that I could not talk to Trust & Safety.

Nope, they transferred me every time no problem. The first time it happened it didnt even ask because i didnt know. They said hold while i transfer you and it was connected to Security and they pretty much can do anything to your account from there.

Also, i lost my internet connection at one point and i was so upset because i thought i had to start all over and explain the situation again. But as soon as live chat started i told them i was speaking with someone in security and they transferred me to someone else and they were able to assist me from where we left off.

I will have to try that next time.

they don't transfer you to trust and safety they are two completely different departments and trust and safety is located in Utah. From what I have experienced neither departments are any good at helping and they usually run you through the ringer and then tell you they need to transfer you again and again until you just get tired and disconnect. Don't use chat and think anything of good will come through it or you will make any progress in any problem you have requiring elevated staff responses.
