I sold almost 300 items and get 2 cases

Hi, I sold almost 300 items and get 2 cases because of the items didn't deliver.

I just checked, both shipping are on the way, I don't know why the shipping take 10 days but still not delivered,

but these two buyers are very nice, I communicate with them, they close the case, do you think it will affect my ebay account

In my experience your account would be affected if the buyers leave neutral or negative feedback.

I solved the case with buyer, and buyer give me the positive feedback

That is what ebay want to see.....

Communicating with the buyer and helping them resolve the issues are what ebay expects from sellers.

Good work there.

Not alot you can do if the postal service is slow.

Once the new 'defect' system comes in to play, those open cases will count just much ad a low dsr or negative feedback.

First of all, the ratio of cases is not bad at 2 out of 300 sales. Like GB pointed out, eBay wants to see that you are communicating with the buyer and solving the issue. That is ALWAYS the smart thing to do.

At the moment, only UNRESOLVED cases officially count against you. But as Just-Smile pointed out, when the new system comes into play this August, EVERY opened case will count against you. eBay is on the warpath for any transactions that do not go 100% smoothly. You seem to be on the right track here, so I don't think you should have anything to worry about.

Lastly, the type of cases will also matter. The worst ones to have are "Item Not as Described". eBay wants buyers to have confidence when buying on eBay and nothing turns a buyer off faster than getting an item that is not what they expected it to be.

Moving forward, you should be EXTRA CAREFUL to note any defects in your listing and also not to overstate the capabilities and features of your items. This change will also be hard on sellers of counterfeit goods, because the WORST possible case you can have is an "Item Not as Described" case where the buyer is claiming the goods are counterfeit.

Even though eBay said that cases closed without eBays intervention never counted against you, that is a lie

I have called in the past and they always look at all your cases whether they were dealt with or closed in a minute or had to be taken care of by eBay

They look at everything , but OP handled the situation the best possible

in actual answer to your question, you shouldnt have an issue if buyer closes the case themselves and you resolve there issues

Here's the thing... cases don't really count based on automatic review by bots.
But they do count when a human sees them.

HOWEVER, if you got more than 5+ cases open at one time, it'll trigger the bots and temporarily suspend your account for a human T&S to review.

They may not know why they have to review you, but they'll just assume you did something naughty and requests for papers.

So no black or white here.

Couldn't of said it better

Now I even hesitate to open a case to cancel a transaction, especially on an account that's 2 months old, because in some way everything counts, so if it's me losing $4-6 , I may just let it go and not open a cancellation request which is a case

Always, Always, Always, Always

communicate with the buyer if there is a problem or delay. A customer who is being updated on the status of the order will almost always be more understanding than someone being kept in the dark.

the other trick that i've done is to over communicate with them, using their first name in all correspondence, thanking them for their patience. . I've turned some dicey situations into positive feedbacks.
