Default Ebay is going to become a much, much harder place to sale.

I believe stealth accounts will be all that prevail in the coming 5 years. Those accounts and those that ebay lets break the rules. Anyone selling any good amount of items will be banned with these new updates. Ebay is not just upping the rules they are kicking off the small sellers.

This could be good because less people mean leass competition. THERE WILL Be many less people. I think around 70% in the coming years.

There will be changes.

Some will lose their discounts.

Some will be kicked off.

Some will grow.

But there will be always new accounts.

It is entirely possible that EBay will actually grow rather than decline.

They move the goalposts for their benefit. They will not allow a terminal decline.

The changes will suit some and not suit others.

Sellers will evolve to deal with new requirements.

*Waits for everyone to bring their Tinfoil hats*

Naturally things will evolve, but we are a good part of ebays cash flow. Its fine to cull the herd every now and again, but ebay wont spite its nose to cut its face.

EBay will make a ton more money now , because there won't beep as many TRS discounts anymore

In order to survive we will need to have even more accounts than we all have now and eventually it will be virtually impossible to get and maintain TRS status the way things are, just one shipment that goes out and gets lost by the postal service or whatever carrier and that is it 5 cases no more TRS, and that happens to everyone at some point when you ship lots of packages over time

Before I would allow the buyer to keep the order and still refund the money if there was a problem this turned a bad situation into 5 star feedback, but that is all over with now, there is no point in going that extra mile , once a case is open, the buyer cannot damage your account anymore or less , so what's the point in customer service after that point, unless you want to help eBay out just from the kindness of your heart and than have them can the account after

All well I can go on and on about how stupid this is, but no point just another bad decision by eBay, nothing to do but adapt and move on, and just be happy, because the next system may be 100 times worse after this new one

Less users selling (less competition) is not good for ebay and their profits. Less competition means higher prices for buyers.

Currently, in my opinion, when people are usually wondering where to find an item the cheapest, they automatically think eBay. With higher prices, that means that that mentality could go away very soon, leaving the door open for new competition to arise.

Lets not forget that Aliexpress is also right around the corner. If they can somehow improve their shipping time by opening new warehouses in the US and doing something similar to Amazon's fulfillment centers, they could easily grab marketshare away.

But I do agree with OP, stricter selling limits only means less sellers will be able to sell.

We can no longer fight scammers without cases. Cases were never meant to be a bad thing. What a heap of crap. These new rules can't possibly be for anything good.

I mean I remember a case I won that saved me $650. What about a $5000 ITEM OR A 10000 ITEM. Ebay are a bunch of psychopathic morons.

If they are a moron, then just give up now, why wait for the end to arrive. Scammers have been around since the 1st monetary transaction who knows when time ago.

I will continue will my own plans of selling and slowly going into real estate. Next stop, another fourplex building.

Well the plan is controlled world where you can't have access to nothing unless being tracked step by step. Fight it or let it consume you!

so much bashing against Ebay yet you continue to sell on their site - which helps you put food on your table. Simple, stop b*tching and adjust to their rules.

I have been selling my tracfone accessories, chargers, batteries, etc. for 2 years on eb and last night got MC999 on 2 accts. that I had them on. This is nickel dime stuff and sold hundreds of SS authentic new parts and used phones until last night. I am dismayed to say the least.
FYI, Mr. Besos is beating their doors down. Yesterday I ordered a pr. of dress shoes on Amazon for less than eb and today when I got home they were at my door. Did a double take. WOW the drones must have started. LOL
