I'm guessing it's a pretty high value item that you want back then?
Personally I'd usually tell the buyer to not bother returning the item and just issue the refund. Saves the issue of it being returned to wrong addresses and all that crap.
After all, the item is damaged anyway. | If I do not have much into some item, I tell them not to worry about it. This is worth about $70 (to me/anyone else needing it). It is a motherboard for a laptop just as an fyi. Quote:

If you read the op thread, he is suspicious about the items (3 items) being broken... probably not.
Another good reason for asking for return is that 90% of the time the buyer who is trying to get the item for free (refund + not shipping back) once you ask to return it, magically leave all as it is not bothering about the refund and without the trouble of shipping back. | Knowing that this is a motherboard to a laptop - the user said he has ordered several others, all of them happening to be DOA. In this market you have to be worried about the user sending back the broken one, claiming it was the one I sent. Which is probably the situation (maybe). I just want it back so I can test it myself. I mean, it obviously could have broke during original shipment, but it is rare I have this happen - scammers are more of a likelihood in my exp. Quote:

Make sure to report him to eBay. Saying that he admitted himself he a history of pulling these shenanigans. | If the item is working, I will report obviously. If it is broken, and I suspect he swapped it on me, I will also report. |
