hi ,i had this before. and i had to send another one to the buyer. sometimes if it`s not well sealed, the item comes out of the packaging and Royal mail don`t know where to send it. after that i make sure all my envelopes are sealed with selatape and send recorded delivery. :)

Call their bluff, tell them you will be filing an investigation with their postal office (if outside your Country) and let them know that whoever stole the item will be prosecuted for mail theft or something.

Nothing new, many here reported buyers tell them they received a box with nothing it and demand a refund.

They are NOT allowed to threaten you with a negative.

Report him to ebay if he threatens negative if no refund.

3 years ago I had this experience, I tried to google that guy out using his email and he's a scammer for many times and someone even made a website to talk about how he cheats people, so I send that to him and he closed the case and just gone.

Communication is key OP. Threatening with a negative is against eB policy as well

This is GREAT, run to eBay asap and report this.

Thats right OP, feedback extortion is very much frowned upon by EB

I disagree, ebay won't do anything here...that "threat" is just a demand to get what they paid for ( they may or may not have got it). Let us know if anything becomes of it, but my guess, unless you cave in, you're gonna get stuck with a non removable neg. Good luck!

That is the route I would take.

No Poker, I have reported this and had negatives that were not warranted removed because they of the feedback threats.

15k accounts were canned in one month.

Most were sellers but some had to be buyers.

SandyD what do you mean 15,000 accounts were banned?

Re: Buyer claimed he has received an empty envelope

Oh, yes, I agree some feedback threats can get you in big trouble, and I've had a few negs removed that were left for me.....but if this buyer worded it correctly, I don't think he'll get in trouble, because of them not getting the item.....If it was me, I'd say " Look, the envelope you sent was not properly sealed and it arrived with nothing inside. I don't want to leave you bad feedback, but if I paid for something and don't get it, I'll be forced to".

No way do I believe they will do anything about that, from my experience.

Send drugs to their house and call the cops after you get a delivery confirmation. Then they will be in jail for possession and wont be able to leave negative feedback.

This is how I resolve situations like this. 100% positive feedback ;)

I didn't report him to eBay until another seller from China messaged me to ask if I had a case about 'open envelope'.
That seller is another victim as he lost the PayPal case.
So he was contacting every seller who sold items to the scammer.

Eventually enough sellers report him and his account got removed.
