I'm to scared to sell iPhone covers and pinsbfor iPhone worried I'd get flagged because it was hot selling items to get feed back so I threw away 100's of those I'm scared the title iPhone word will flag me. So why risk it? I build my own feedback. U know my secret.

If it a high priced item like iPhones, I would not suggest to go outside of eBay. You are taking too much risk...

The buyer scanning you, is what he means probably.

danshan 08-25-2014 09:39 AM

Re: Is it a Scam?

But buyers can scam you via ebay checkout or paypal invoice

Definitely - professional buyers will find all kinds of ways - just have to be on top of the measures in place to "protect" you as a seller...never 100% but why give the buyers power off of eB....

What "power off ebay"?

The power to try and fraud by going off of eB - taking away "seller protection" measures

danshan 08-25-2014 11:13 AM

Re: Is it a Scam?

What is the difference of seller protection from ebay checkout to paypal invoice?

masimo 08-25-2014 01:05 PM

Re: Is it a Scam?

Since we are on this topic about direct paypal to paypal payment, I have a question... Is there no protection against a scammer like a money back guarantee or something?....

danshan 08-25-2014 01:09 PM

Re: Is it a Scam?

Depends on type of transaction and actually how they paid ie credit card or paypal balance

masimo 08-25-2014 01:10 PM

Re: Is it a Scam?

Can you elaborate?

danshan 08-25-2014 01:12 PM

Re: Is it a Scam?

Im not sure what you mean. The elaboration depends on the type of transaction

masimo 08-25-2014 01:14 PM

Re: Is it a Scam?

so which one has protection?

MM78 08-25-2014 01:14 PM

Re: Is it a Scam?

So should we start asking everyone who does a transaction outside of EBay if they are paying with Paypal balance or CC?

danshan 08-25-2014 01:14 PM

Re: Is it a Scam?

They all have different types of protection

It would be really nice because cc transactions are way more risky than pp balance payments

masimo 08-25-2014 01:18 PM

Re: Is it a Scam?

Can I use another person's paypal email to receive funds when your my Paypal limited because of pending SSN submission?

danshan 08-25-2014 01:19 PM

Re: Is it a Scam?

You can use someone elses pp as long as you dont anyway link it to your limited pp or the ebay associated with your limited pp

masimo 08-25-2014 01:25 PM

Re: Is it a Scam?

so what ur saying is that eBay name and paypal name can be different? they don't have to match?

danshan 08-25-2014 01:34 PM

Re: Is it a Scam?

I have used reserve paypals on ebays that had diff names with no issue but again the biggest key to any stealth setup is weight on the bridge. Depending how you are going to use the acct makes a big difference on what the acct needs to be successful. Example you use the account to sell 10 1 dollar items not too particular but if your acct sells 600 iphones it better be hella strong

GhostWhoWalks 08-25-2014 01:49 PM

Re: Is it a Scam?

Let me know if selling .99 cent items on newer account then selling higher prices still work without getting flagged to call in etc.

I heard that USA accounts have this problem. RED FLAGS.

danshan 08-25-2014 01:50 PM

Re: Is it a Scam?

Your gonna have to call in for the original mc99 anyway

GhostWhoWalks 08-25-2014 01:53 PM

Re: Is it a Scam?

OMG WOW I never have this problem.

What do they ask you? Personal questions about your account or where you get your items from? This truely blows.

No bro, I don't joke.

I just see a lot of problems with USA Accounts. It's like WOW!

Europeans are more laid back.

danshan 08-25-2014 01:58 PM

Re: Is it a Scam?

Ok I seriously seen you have 1000's of posts and you dont know anything about new acct mc999 calls. Anyway if so yes you need to often on new accts get a ebay mc999 and you need to call and answer basic questions like is this your acct, who else is using it, do you have the items in ypur possession. Blah blah blah

GhostWhoWalks 08-25-2014 02:03 PM

Re: Is it a Scam?

I don't deal with USA accounts. And if you seriously read my posts you'd know I am from Europe and I only deal with European accounts. When I see the MC99 I think to myself "what a bunch of Sh*t you guys got to deal with" no joke bro. It's so bad that I don't even care to read it. Because we don't run into this problem like USA accounts. All accounts are different bro!

The only time I give them answers is if I call about a problem with a customer to verify my account and it's normally "what is your account zip code registered, and the phone number on the account..." then I get the "thank you for that how can I help you today?" I once called in on my USA account about a problem with something a glitch. It was "what company did you own in the past. Was it A. B. C. or D." with another question. :O Like really???? WOW.

I mean would you rather deal with that??? OR deal with something like mine? Where they only ask you for address, and phone number, or the email registered to the account? :O

danshan 08-25-2014 02:04 PM

Re: Is it a Scam?

I like that I never miss with uk accounts though

GhostWhoWalks 08-25-2014 02:04 PM

Re: Is it a Scam?

Not to mention I read you guys get phone calls from EB/PP randomly to check up on you??? What is this? They treat you guys like kids for god sakes! I had never had this.

To me USA is not #1 for Ebay/PP accounts.

danshan 08-25-2014 02:05 PM

Re: Is it a Scam?

I wish the scammers would scam something different than ebay usa

*repost* Aspkin did something with comments and it got mixed up no worries mods. It's all good you can confirm with him.

danshan back to you

Not a chance Mate.

This is how it works.

If you come from a less populated country in the world that is rich. Your account bs will be less far more less.

If you registered in a country that has more then 300,000,000 people where do you think most of the online crimes come from?

I wonder how setting up a Nigerian account set up would be?

Nigerian, Chinese, USA, Brazil, India, and some other of the 3rd world countries.

I know in Australia they send out a letter to the address to verify so they know you live there. I don't know if they still do that or not but I read about it mate.

It's very hard. When I was 18 years old. I use to make paypal accounts just to see limits in all the countries in the world. Brazil, And Australia were at $4,000 sending limit or receiving limits. I can't remember what one it was but it was like this.

In the USA you require to enter the SSN. Now since you live in the USA you must think the rest of the world has the same system right? NOPE!

It's all different for everyone else.

If you go to Mcds in Northern Parts of America, the food is different then the southern states on the menu, or any where else you go in the world.

Ebay is the same way, it's different for any other country in the world.

You guys deal with so much bs that I don't even care to start up USA accounts. I'm thinking of making them just to sell on them but I'd never use them personally with this $20,000 or 200 limit per year. What a joke!

Sure you can register EIN numbers, etc. But ...nevermind.

I use to talk to a guy from a 3rd world country. And the things he had to do just to open up an account made it so not worth it at all.

I just told him get a VPS and buy a USA account way less problems. Or a European account.

So again, my question is... Can I replace the limited Paypal linked to my unlimited eBay account with a new verified Stealthed Paypal email? Yes or no? Will this get me linked or banned?
