that would be great if we could sue them crummry buyers who leave negative feedback for any reason! then maybe egay would change there drity pratices and allow both buy and seller to leave all feedback

The seller more likely just wants the negative rating off and could care less what the comments are.

Read the story. Although I love the idea, the buyer did not lie at all. Likewise, there is no damages. Also, the UK has much stricter libel laws.

And yes, you can sue for libel in the US. In most states, you can even sue for libel in small claims court. The trick is collecting any judgment, if you happen to win. Also, most attorneys charge an arm ad a leg for libel suits. Why you ask - because libel suits are the most difficult cases to prove.

I truly had a buyer leave negative feedback and flat out lied. I could sue and probably win. But since the pion piece of crap has no money, what's the point.

Instead, I am going to pay Modee for tech support and nail the little *******.....
