Ebay not answering phone since yesterday???
 

Hi Everyone,

I received the MC999 on two of my accounts yesterday and I have tried yesterday and today to call and attempt to clear them up.

The call seems normal at first... recording saying that they are experiencing higher than average call volume...blah blah. Then I enter my one time passcode and it is able to identify my account. Right after that, a recording with an English accent says that they are closed. That there hours are Mon-Fri 8am - 10pm and weekends 9am - 6pm (does not mention a time zone). But ebay website says they are open 5am - 10pm Pacific time 7 days per week. That has always been my experience as well for years.

Even if the hours they quote on the phone were right, I was still calling within them.

I called from the tracfone that is listed on the account.

Any clue what is going on?

Update, I just tried contacting ebay the same exact way, but using one of my old well established accounts and real phone. No problems. I got my one time passcode, entered it, and I did not even have to wait for an operator. They picked up right away.

Could calling from my tracfone be causing the problem?

Update again.... :d

I just called the ebay # from my tracfone and did not enter any passscode. Just went through the prompts until I arrived at one for if your ad was removed. I chose that, and got an operator right away.

Interview was piece of cake. Just asked me what I was selling and verified the phone and zip code on the account. Listing reinstated.

Anyway, glad I posted in case anyone else get's that problem when using the passcode with their tracfone.
